Kyocera DuraXV LTE with camera: Warning: very important negative aspects of this phone, Kyocera & Verizon
Carrier: Verizon
Need others 2 know truth- poor customer service- Kyocera & Verizon! Do NOT make same mistake purchasing overpriced defective device- nothing as advertised! No support/help to fix and/or replace when problems, even still brand new! Kyocera customer service rude & unwilling to take any responsibility for defective phone- very cold & callous. Verizon similar told me wrong- no help, purchased phone thru them, complained numerous times. Expected good camera- constant picture problems! Vertical rainbow colored like lines in my pictures, ugly lines are awful and cannot remove them. Always have troubles hearing me, âHello, are you there?â âHello, Hello, Hello????â or âI lost you!â - very common comments to me. Only 1-2 bars of service. At Verizon store- Verizon service girl noticed I did not have many bars for service in their store, I should have, she did on her phone! Crack like marks around camera area/close to the hinged area at top of phone, keep growing- I DID NOT DO! Flip up top falling apart! Supposed to be one of most durable- rugged phones! Camera supposed to be good but not! Single 55 yr old female, no kids or other people around. I do nothing rough or rugged but yet small scratch like marks appear then turn into small thin crack like looking mark as well as a possible potential future chip waiting to happen. Done nothing at all to create such cracks on brand new rugged phone I donât even use very much! I have NOT dropped it or hit it to cause them, seem to appear and grow daily! Numerous complaints to Verizon since I first got phone 12/6/17 til today 2/6/2018. Have not gotten any help; wasted lots of time and money. Wanted better, more rugged phone with great camera and call reception capability... hoping for- expecting better phone, is not! This phone is not at all worth the expensive price! Companies involved will not take responsibility for any defects or problems with phone, even if under warranty, always a âcatchâÂ

Inferior
Carrier: Verizon
Kyocera DuraXv Plus. Without a doubt the worst phone Iâve ever had. Within just a few days I knew I had made a huge and expensive mistake. My previous phone was a Motorola Barrage, military grade and it was the absolute best phone I ever had. Lasted for years and was still working (but showed signs of failing) when I looked on the Verizon website and read about this phone.
Iâm not into the smartphone thing and just need a rugged phone to make and receive calls, get timed alerts, etc. So, when I read about this phone I thought it would be a great replacement. It does have some good features, such as 5 meg camera (my old one had a 2meg), and a photo flash. My main complaint is the inferior menu design which makes navigation more difficult than it needs to be. The Motorola Barrage had an excellent menu design, just the opposite of this phone.
For my fellow reviewers that give praise to this phone I say that you probably never had a Motorola Barrage military grade.
For those considering this phone I would advise against it.

Volume
Carrier: Verizon
The phone is very durable and easy to hold.
How ever putting in new contacts takes to much time.
The camera takes to long to flash.
People calling in to my phone saying they can not hear me well and the volume is turned up to the highest point. I have to put the phone on speaker for me to hear them. I don't like this because every one in the room and apartment hall way can also hear my conversation.
I understand it is reccomended I purchase a Bluetooth but I don't feel I should have to spend more money to use this phone and don't like having to carry something else along with my purse or around my neck.
You can not see the speaker for your ears. It is covered with plastic.

DuraXV
Carrier: Verizon
To put it simply the DuraXV on Verizon is a really great flip phone. Long battery life, excellent call quality, and tough. It's way better than the Casio's and it's what the Samsung Convoy's should have been.
