HTC One M9 (CDMA)
Phone Scoop Review
Mar 22, 2015 by Eric M. Zeman
HTC's 2015 flagship is an evolutionary update to last year's model. While the new hardware is refined with better manufacturing and high-quality materials, not all the changes are for the better. HTC's Sense user interface is complimentary to Android 5.0 Lollipop and is a compelling alternative to stock Android. The M9 has a serious flaw, however, that we hope will be fixed. read review ›

Expected more from HTC
Carrier: Verizon
Been using the M9 since it was pretty much released earlier this year. I previously used LG's G3 which I really liked. Before that I had used the M7 and was really excited to get the M9 but have been disappointed with the phone.
I feel like I went back in time 2 years and am back with my M7. I really expected the camera to be much better, the display isn't the greatest and battery life well that hasn't changed much either. I do like the overall build quality of the phone but compared to Samsung's S6 and LG's G4, I would put the M9 at the bottom of the rankings.

Good flagship phone, but there are better
Carrier: Sprint
The HTC One M9 reminds me of the HTC One M8 in many ways. This is partly due to the fact that not much has actually changed. Some of that is good - for example, the speakers sound the same, the screen is the same, the body is still aluminum, the phone still looks great, and it's still a very speedy phone.
However, many of the faults from the M8 carried over as well. The camera is still mediocre even though they went from a 4mp sensor to a 20mp sensor. There is still no fingerprint scanner. There is still no wireless charging. And while the shape of the phone has changed slightly to make the grip better, the sharp edges on the front are uncomfortable against your face while on a call. Battery life is still mediocre. The ugly bezel is still there, albeit it's reduced a bit.
Overall I am happy with this phone, although I would have been just has happy sticking with my old M8. It is clear HTC went with only an iterative design change from the M8, which did not help their sales since they failed to fix the main faults of the M8. Hopefully the M10 or whatever replaces the M9 can correct the issues (mainly the camera) and turn things around for HTC.

M9 On Sprint
Carrier: Sprint
I have had HTC One phones since the first ONE M7 and while I do miss the Beats Audio for the bass the audio is loud and still has clear as it was on the M8. I like the interface a lot it not to much like the Samsung phones and the themes thats built in make it more use and easy to switch. The 3 finger swipe to connect to bluetooth, DLNA and miracast is a great feature. I don;t have problem with singal Iget it everywhere I live. But the calls do drop and data was going out some be that wa happen with all phone in my area from the updating the towers.

STILL MY FAVORITE
Carrier: Sprint
I still love the sense ui versus the samsung touchwiz. The hardware allows a great amount of downloading, from music to videos ( even on the SPRINT network in the Tulsa area).
Pros
speakers
upgraded camera
better battery life
Cons
no fingerprint reader
(I hear the plus model will have it)
if that was a deal breaker I would have bought the Samsung S6
