Apple Making Changes to App Store
Jun 8, 2016, 2:29 PM by Eric M. Zeman
Apple today informed developers that some changes are headed to the iTunes App Store. Developers will be able to offer auto-renewable subscriptions that don't require subscribers to constantly re-up. Developers are being given more control over subscription pricing, and will be rewarded when customers enter the second year of a subscription with a grate share of the revenue. Moreover, developers will be able to pay for search ads that appear when consumers search for apps in the App Store. Apple said these changes will arrive at some point in the fall months, likely close to the arrival of iOS 10.
