HTC Dash / S620 / S621 (Excalibur)

I just bought myself the HTC Dash for Xmas and I cannot for the life of me get either of the headsets I have to actually work and im getting annoyed... anyone have ANY suggestions??

UUMM i just got my dash today and i looked at all the high end phones over and over agin and for the price and having the most of what i want in one phone the dash came out the winer. anyway my point is i just got home and im ****ing with it and i cant find a way to get ring tones? this is my first day with t-moil i had spring and i just got free ones on the internet. but what do i do for the dash?

Can anyone tell me how picture messages will bill if using a PDA and having unlimited messaging. I know that with Verizon you will still be charged kb usage on top of you messaging plan, unless you get a data package. I am wanting to know if I get a PDA with TMobile are they going to force me to pay the data package? Thank you in advance.

I just realize that POP3/IMAP email (I have my own web domain) that I have setup (works only with WiFi on the device), when I try to send the mail out from the device, it moves them to "SENT Folder" but the on the other end the emails are never recieved... I tried sending the mails to my hotmail, yahoo and a personal email account.

It seems like it should since it uses WM5 and Active Sync, etc, but does the Dash sync Contacts, mail, tasks, and so on from Microsoft Outlook?

The only place that I have found a battery for sale is at Mobile Planet/Expansys for approximately $50. Does anyone know where I can get a spare battery for a reasonable price? Thanks. 🙂

I found a post on Brighthand from a supposed HTC employee. He says they are "stress testing the Dash for WM6" and that once WM6 is released the new Dash's will be sold with it and maybe an upgrade available for those of us with current Dash's.

He says w/ WM6 on the Dash the touch strip behaves the way a 3-button mouse does and that its very cool.

could be BS, but I really hope we get a WM6 upgrade path because supposedly you'll be able to edit your MSoffice docs w/ it.

Just bought the DASH (T-Mobile)... I have my own web domain (e.g. www.myowndomain.com) that allows me to configure my own email addresses with my own POP/SMTP servers (i.e. POP/smtp.myowndomain.com)... I used one of the email adderesses (this email was previously setup on MS Outlook - and works fine on PC) for testing purposes and added that email account on the DASH using Messaging --> New Account --> Email provider (Other POP3/IMAP). While it's sending and receiving emails from the device, but I have to be using WiFi or have some means to be online (HotSpot)... What can I do to have the email send/recieve without WiFi or HotSpot (EDGE/GPRS - Maybe??? How can I configure it?)

Hey, when I go to sites like google, I get the dumbed down mobile version. Is there anyway that you guys know of to stop this travesty and view the sites as I do on the computer? Thanks, Chris

Thought I'd give it a try...but it's a horrible POS. JOGGR doesn't work...Operating System freezes.....Phone locks up so have to power cycle off each time it happened.... Not to mention GMail not "staying" in my inbox.

1) Why does the Dash suddenly turn on from sleep mode for no apparent reason? Conversely, why doesnt it turn on when receiving an incoming text messzage or email?

2) You should be able to show My Faves no matter what home skin is chosen. Its silly that the My Faves icons have to be hidden just because you choose a skin other than the T-Mobile default.

3) Why doesnt the AIM icon show up on the home page? I only see it when I go to another screen.

4) Im a bit vague with WiFi. When would I need to have it on? I always seem to have no problem connecting to the internet wherever Ive been so far.

I am a T-mobile customer and I am interested in buying the Dash phone!!! Can anyone tell me if it is compatible with my power book and worth the purchase???????

I am thinking of ordering handitv or someother kind of mobile tv for my dash but I thought I would ask you all if you think its will work well or if it is even worth the $20.

😢 Can someone please help me. I downloaded a program that allows me to put dvd's on my dash. The program works fine but on the media player it is hard to hear the sound of the movie. on the MDA the sound is great. Does any one know how to turn this up and make it loud like on the MDA??

I have never had a smartphone before because I thought they were just too bulky, but this phone caught my eye. I was just wondering if this phone would be easy enough for a regular phone user. Anyone wanna weigh in on this? Love the looks of the Dash and and the Wi-fi. Not terribly versed in WM5 as a mac user so any wisdom about which of this devices wins out I'm all ears.

I installed the eTV's Demo version but its not working... I guess thats why they have it $4.50... Any help please. It shows the TV icon up on the top of the mail screen adn even if you click it nothing happens...

Ready for VOIP for your Dash? Here ya go...

I have posted previoulsy on how to install Skype on the MDA and SDA. I had some issues with installing Skype on the Dash, but I got it to work. I did some reading on the net and people said it was not do able becuase of the new Skype version that was out, and I myself had problems, but it does work.

In my area using Skype, even with Tmobile's Edge and an overclocked processor the call was still choppy. However when using Wifi and the overclocked processor it worked GREAT!
