Motorola i880 / i885
Please help me figure out how to use this phone .. i880
Yes I am a noob, so please talk in small words. Any help anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.
I have read everything, but I still cannot upload anything to my phone.
I have downloaded webjal, and added all the ringtones I wanted. When I try to download them to the phone I get an error code saying there was an error between the phone and the computer. The USB seems to be working fine, so what else can it be?
Also, I cannot upload music to the music player. It appears to be working when I send it to the phone, but when it is complete the music is not there.
Sometimes the phone will read, "Insert memory card now." Well, it is already in the phone!!
Finally, what is this larger memory card for? It does not fit in...

I am new to this phone as well but, have not had all the problems you have had. I read some where that Sprint/Nextel has designed the new phones software to better be able to "sell" ringtones to their subscribers. However, there are ways around this feature. Go into the "MEMORY" settings and shut the card reader off prior to using WebJal. I haven't tried this yet but, believe it is posted somewhere in this forum.
Your music problems are probably a file format issue. I have about 200 MP3's on my phone right now and I am currently downloading 50 more to my phone as I type this. Simply take your saved music and copy/cut/paste it in the phones "MUSIC" directory, not "audio"
I have the same issues with memory card. Not sure if this is a phone ...
