Hello everyone,

I was wondering if anyone had a small pool of liquid develop in the middle of their display? I have this problem with my Sync and I wondered if this was a problem with others

I just bought a Sync on Fri, noticed the same thing. I went in to exchange this evening and the replacement was worse. Went back in and got another one. The guy at the store said he has seen it happen before, but thinks it is a manufacturing defect. My 3rd one looks good? Did yours develop that over time or was it like that from the beginning? It is really annoying.

I had mine one month before it happened. I called Samsung two weeks ago and was told they were unaware of any problems.

It's not liquid. If you press a bit (NOT TOO HARD) on the center of the screen, you get the same effect. Mine didn't arrive with the spot, but I noticed it after taking it out of my pocket once. I lightly pressed around and it was taken care of.

I can't stress enough not to press too hard. If you break the fragile display, good luck getting it replaced.

Same as before, it is probably nothing you have done to the phone. It is a manufacturers defect.

I work for Cingular wireless and returned a phone that had the same "liquid" behind the screen. I was suppose to pay for the phone because it had "liquid damage." It actually did not or any of yours do not have liquid damage. It is a manufacturers defect. If anyone has experienced this problem, please contact your provider and get a new phone. If you do not want to go through that hassle, a tech can easily remove it from behind the screen. All it is, is a pool of extra protective film, that was produced when the phone was made. Thanks and good luck!

I got my phone off EBay so I couldn't take it back to Cingular when this happened. Since the phone has a one year warranty I called Samsung and asked them to start a service ticket for it even though they told me they had no record of a problem. I was notified today that my phone has been fixed and is on it's way back to me free of charge. As Sarah said above, this is a design defect.
