main screen resolution?

the samsung website says its 176x220, but some other places say its qvga. can someone clear this up please. thanks

and can you use mp3s from the memory card as ring tones?

yes you can use the mp3s from the memory card as ringtones. I believe I had that going on and removed the memory card and it reverted to the default ringtone.

Probably better to just store ringtones on the phone.
