Motorola RAZR V3xx

Anyone know if I can do anything to change the mail aspect.. I don;t use any of those crappy services it offers to set up.. Will it take a reflash to open that up to other services?

Has anyone been able to download their outlook calendar / schedule to the Razr v3xx? If so, how is this done? Is it necessary to purchase additional software or can it be downloaded directly with a cable only or USB adapter?

I saw the v3xx at Walmart for $38 for a 2-year upgrade.

How is Walmart's phone different from a "Cingy store" model?

Is the "deal" different? Has anybody bought this phone at Walmart?

I know that AT&T only has 3G service in metropolitan areas. I was wondering if anyone had any information or a link to any timelines that outline exactly when 3G will be available in "rural" or normal residential areas.

The EDGE network isn't bad, but I'd like to utilized 3G at some point since I have a phone that supports it!

Is there a way to use a different web browser with this phone? Could I use an updated version of Opera mini?

Well I just got my new razr v3xx in today and I was SOOO excited.

Except for the fact that I cant upload pics from my cell to my windows computer =[

It says "removable disk" when i connect the USB cord with the cell and comp but i click on it and it says something about inserting something in the drive.

But my question is:
Does anyone know another way where I can upload my pics onto my comp? I heard something about a bluetooth or something but I really dont even know what that means...I mean im 16 and all but haha I really dont get it.

Well I got my razr v3xx yesterday and I was so excited!

So i got a ringtone by recording the song from my computer. Anyway, I gave my friend Bobby a ringer ID which is this one song that plays. But the song ringer doesnt just play when he calls me, it also plays when he TEXTs me.

How do I change this to all my contacts just text msging me with a ding noise or something?

Is there a way to turn off the keypad sounds without having to set the phone to silent or vibrate?

I find this annoying when I'm texting. I want to hear a message beep, but I can't unless I have the volume turned up. When I do, I hear the annoying keypad noises when texting.

Any thoughts?

I'm obsessive 😁 about cleaning my phone after every use, but my kids 🤤 often get there hands on it and dirty it up. Just wondering if anyone has a great idea for cleaning the screens.

I have this phone from Cingular. When I press the voice key to do a name dial it automatically activates speakerphone. Is this normal and is there a way to change it?

Is there a way, without Motorola Tools 4.0, to connect my phone to my computer? I want to add some pictures, but I notice that while Windows XP recognizes my phone as a "drive", it keeps prompting me to format the drive whenever I try to send something to it.

Is there a workaround for this or do I have to order the Motorola Tools?

I have a SD card that I use for my digital camera. But I heard that a razr uses a MICRO SD memory card. I wasnt sure if I could use my regular 1.0 GB SD memory card, or if I was supposed to get a MICRO memory card. I ask because I didnt know if it made any difference to just use either one.

But I have a link here and was wondering if this is the EXACT micro SD memory card that I was supposed to use for this razr phone.

Can this be done on this phone? I know smartphones do this (e.g., the N75). I have number of e-books I wouldn't mind viewing on my phone.

If the initial answer is "no" to the above question, is there a hack or mod that could do that?

Greatly appreciate any insight a v3xx owner could provide for me regarding 2 issues...
1. After having the 6126 for a few weeks I'm tired of charging everyday. If I were to scratch the 3g usage, think I can get about 3-4 days without charging?
2. How is the durability issue with the hinge; I know past razrs are liable to turning rather creeky/flimsy with normal use.

My wife's 2 year old RAZR V3 died and I need to get her a new phone. I could go with the V3 again, but I know some kinks have been worked out on the newer versions (address book, better camera). She will NEVER use this phone for data or for music, any reason I should go with the V3r (Cingular version of the V3i) over the V3xx which is cheaper than the V3r?

Cingular's prices are:
V3 - $50
V3xx - $50
V3R Refurb - $80
V3R - $130

How does one turn OFF the music for starting up and closing down the Motorazr? This is terribly embarrasing when in a large group to power down and hear this crappy music.

Does anyone know of a free source of sounds for the Motorazr?

I just picked this phone up yesterday, and those of you with 3G experience, is there an icon that pops up on the display when you are in a 3G area? Thanks..

The v3xx now comes in a sick Platinum & Chrome finish. It is definately worth a look. 😁
