Apple iPhone

thats one of the things i do the most..im on the road alot and thats what i do...booo i want to get it when my contract with nextel runs out..but i really need those text

1. I do not own the phone yet but all I read is that you can change the font of emails.
How about contacts?

2. Also is the phone officially locked without a hack so you cannot download Smartdial or a better voice dial program than the $5 a month ATT plan.. No new hack to unlock for 3rd party apps?

3. Finally would you wait for the new IPhone or buy one now but who knows all the features or small features in new IPhone net year?

4. I like the phone but rather have a phone with a Flip out keyboard. Problem is most flip out keyboard phones use Windows Mobile 6. While I am a Windows user, I dislike WM6. Google phone too far away.

I have a problem. I had my iPhone hacked when the firmware was at 1.1.1 and then on of my programs gave me the go ahead to update it and I wouldn't lose all of my things. Unfortunatly when I updated to 1.1.2 I lost Installer.app and my phone had reset.

No I cannot find a way to downgrade or rehack my phone. So if there are any people out there with this experience help me out. Thanks a bunch.

i've had my iphone for a few months and love it.

i've been having a problem lately. when i'm listening to music or on safari or checking mail it is constantly going back to the beginning menu screen. i'm not doing a thing, it just shuts down whatever i'm doing and heads back to the start-up screen with the icons. ipod stops, safari stops, mail stops, everything just stops.

any idea why?

Does anyone know if insurance is available through AT&T for the iPhone? I know someone who claims to have boughten 2 due to the fact that they don't (although he did say he had a 1 year warranty throught Apple and with a touch screen I'm thinking that is going to be phenomenal 🙂 .....YAHOOO!!). Can anyone shed any light on this??

Ive been a loyal verizon customer for years. But whats annoying is that their phones are horrible, otherwise the cell phone business would be a monopoly. Anyways, Im interested in the iphone for obvious reasons.

My biggest concern, is network/signal. Ive had cingular in the past and it was horrible. As the years have passed, I cant imagine it is still as horrible because some people seem to be happy with it.

So I have some random questions Id like if some of you could answer:

1) Are they going to release version 2 in 4 months that blows away the current model. Apple is infamous for doing this. Or will they fix a lot of the phones problems with firmware upgrades?

Is there any way i could use another program to put music on my iphone. I havbe an unlocked iphone and i've heard that if you plug it into itunes the new update will be forced onto your phone. Can anyone help me.

So for those who like their iPhone how is the signal quality?

I have a customer who is complaining about the coverage and want to see if he needs a new one or is the iPhone just not good at picking up signal.

Also, does the iPhone have a network select option (for instance if it picks up T-Mobile where AT&T should work can you select home only or something like that).

Is anyone else gun shy to get the iphone because apple is infamous for releasing the next generation of the product so soon? This gets me thinking.

Now the iphone is $400 right? Is that with 2 yr contract? What is it without 2 yr contract?

In other words, if I buy this phone now for $400. And say version 2 is released in a few months, will new customers have to pay the same amount for the iphone 2 as I would even though Im in contract, or is there a discount for new customers (or customers with contracts that are up)

Does anyone know how to send an email from the iPod touch? I logged onto yahoomail.com and sent a message to myself but I have not received it. Is it the same way w/the iPhone? What email service do you need in order to send emails?

I don't own a Mac and have always worked on PC's and that's what I currently own. Would I be able to use the iPhone with a PC?

correct me if i'm wrong, but the iphone is $400 regardless of whether you are an existing customer or a new customer signing a two year contract. so then is it not possible to purchase a phone at a discounted rate, say a curve, and buy the iphone outright. you then sell the curve on ebay for say $200 (very underpriced) and only end up paying $200 for the iphone. right?

I am looking for an upgrade and have narrowed down my selection to the Q9h or the iPhone (my 2 sons in college each have one). The iPhone has a much better screen, wifi (which is important since I live in a rural area with just EDGE), and style. It lacks mms, integration with Windows Live Messenger and Windows Live Mail. Can anyone help me make up my mind?

Not mine. I use the web about 30 min, send and recieve about 20 total texts a day, 20 min of video, and talk for about 2 or 3 hours a day and my battery is spent.

Is this normal?
What is your expierence like?

I am a verizon customer of 5+ years, which is almost sure I'm going to get an iphone and switch to AT&T... so I'm not here to bash or stir up trouble, but I wanted to post my pet peeves about this phone.

1. No pic messaging - are you kidding? Standard feature on almost any phone for the last 2 years. No excuses. The iphone should be able to do this. I know you can "email" pictures, but I heard the website you go to in order to view them is horrible, and it doesnt let you save the picture, just expire.

2. No video camera - This I can live with, but come on, another feature available in almost every other half decent phone of the last few years. If you have an 8 gig device with a great lens and display, you can actually save and enjoy...

I was wondering if anyone knew how to modify the iphone and add the games that I've seen icons for on the home screen. I am actually with AT&T right now so I'm thinking of switching to the iphone but I don't want to buy it unless I can seriously modify or "trick it out". Is anyone a wiz at this?

Starting thursday apple will restrict iphone purchases to max 2 per person and will not accept cash. Supposedly to stop unlocking/reselling. Why the cash restriction i wonder
