ringer volume
I just bought the blackberry 8830....so far...I like the phone but there is a BIG problem which is the ringer volume....it is extremely too low....tooooooo looooooowwwwww. Can someone help me fix this problem? or is it an overall problem that cannot be fixed?

I had to play around to figure that out myself. Follow these steps
Menu
Profiles
Advanced
loud
Phone
volume
That should take care of it. you can set the volume for when its in the holster and out of the holster.

I have done this however I still find the volume of the phone to be less than adequate. The phone has the capability of playing at a louder volume. In the Media section, you can play music/ringtones at a very nice loud volume, however you cannot set your phone ringer to equal that volume.
Here's to hoping for a quick software upgrade to fix this problem. YES it is a PROBLEM.

I got the 8830 in August 07. The low ringer volume is a big problem. I hope there is a fix soon.
I hope they also add a reminder beep and vibrate to missed calls and unanswered messages.

Which firmware version are you using -- supposedly the Aug 2, 2007 firmware update addressed the ringer volume..
