Motorola RAZR2 V9m

HI i have a 2gb memory card and i put abotu a gig of music in their and my phone wont recognize teh card what the hell? any help would be great thank you. VZW

Held and played with the new AT&T V9 razr2 for ten minutes... then the "wow" dimmed a little and it became a slightly thinner version of my V3xx.

Maybe in a year or two when my new V3xx is ready for an upgrade. But I'm not paying hundreds more just to end up with my same V3xx with a different suit of clothes on.

One more thing, and please, I'm not inviting "well then just go back to them" comments... really.

I've been with Cingular/AT&T for almost two years using a V3, and now a V3xx - without any problems... and previously with VZW using their V3c up until the pink version of the V3c came out in 04/06.

So I've had the phone 2 days now and just went to insert the micro SD card today. I could not get it to go in without removing the battery first, since the card needs to be flush with the port before it can be put in. I thought it was great that the micro SD wasn't behind the battery, because I thought I wouldn't have to remove the battery first. That's why I returned my LG 8700!

Anybody else experience this? Am I doing something wrong?

I went by the Sprint store and they list this at $399!
Are they kidding me? I like Sprint and my contract is coming up soon. What the heck I can get an iPhone for that.
It did say 249 after rebate for new customers but still this seems really high. What do you think I will end up paying?
Or should I wait a few months.

Since the phone comes with no holder, what's everyone using to carry this thing around? I plan to pick this phone up today and wonder if I should hold off on a holder for the time being.

I have heard that someone that purchased the phone in NY DEFINATELY got a brown/bronze version. Also, someone in CA but that is too far for me. I could get to NY in about an hour or so.

Is it worth the trip? Will I really see anything different there than I am seeing in NJ and PA? I want the brown/bronze version but all I've seen is the black/silver.

Also, why is it that some Verizon stores have it with a $50 rebate and others have a $100 rebate? How is that possible?

I have tried now forever to type my password in gmail on my V9m's mobile web browser (VZW) and can't get a freaking capital letter! I have read the manual; HOW do u do it?!

Who has ordered the v9m from verizon either online or from calling their telesales and which did you do?

I am desperately trying to purchase one of these phones but am looking specifically for the brown/bronze color that everyone is talking about. Maybe ordering online and/or through their telesales phone number is a different color? Sorry to post so much about color but if I'm going to spend this kind of $$ for a phone, it's going to be what I REALLY want and not just something I settled for!

Verizon is getting the curve sept 11. Its going to cost $249!!!!!!!!!

I currently have a V3m through Verizon. I love the form factor, reception, call clarity, battery life (acceptable).

My one deal-breaking issue that is making me increasingly detest the phone is the AGONIZINGLY slow pace at which it moves through menu options, particularly anything involving text messages.

Has this problem been resolved in the V9m? I see them advertising the 10X faster processing speed, but I'm very skeptical. I tried out a MAXX a few weeks back and that seemed perhaps 50% faster (nowhere near 10X faster and nowhere near approaching navigation speeds I've seen on LGs).

Am I better off just going with the LG 8700 if this really is such a big deal for me?

Also, I'm tantalized by the concept of being able to read ...

Is there a way to make my itunes songs into mp3's while still keeping them on ITUNES so that my ipod will retain them? Thanks in advance!

So I just got my VZW v9m as well, of course it does not work with iSync, can sombody help with this? I tried the string I found for the Sprint v9m, that one didn't seem to do it.

Running OSX 10.4.10 and iSync 2.4

For those of you curious, unless I'm crazy, I can't easily view txt messages on the outter screen, and other than that it seems cool. It is heavier than the old razrs but I kinda like that.

Has anyone heard yet when Alltel is going to get around to offering this phone in their stores/website?

Well, I went to Circuit City to purchase this today (the verizon wireless store in the circuit city that is). They didn't even have a display model for me to look at. Then I went into the mall to the kiosk in the same area of town and they didn't have a model /sample either. All that I wanted to do was verify what it looked like compared to others that I have seen. It's hard to tell in some stores because there all marked up with everyone fingerprints already!!!!

This color thing is annoying. No one has a set answer and verizon reps are not any help. Add to that that I asked about rebates and new every two to be used and they were so confused about bottom line price. Shouldnt' they know these things?

OK so I have had my phone now for 2 days and still getting use to Verizon’s crappy UI. (I am another former E815 owner which was basically the best phone Verizon’s ever had!) But I had to try something new because mine boke, so I said what the hell and bought the V9m. Now back to my question. I have had my MicroSD card since my E815. I have several photos on the card but for some reason I can't see them on my V9m. I checked the card memory with the V9m and it shows there is used space which is expected but I can't see my pics! Does anyone else have this problem? And if so how can I fix it? One more thing! The MP3 ring tone conversion so I can use it as a ring tone. I am somewhat computer literate but don't understand how to change the ...

When trying to update this phone, or connecting to the wireless web I get Error Code 1012, could not prepare data services. I contacted Sprints technical department and we did everything they could think of, to no avail. My next step is to take it in to a store. 👿 Anyone else have this problem? Or have any suggestions?

I was hoping to get alot of input on this phone after it being out a week or so. I read alot of different opinions. Most people seem to like the new Razr (for verizon) but a few have said that they do not. One person even said that his front screen already cracked which makes me very nervous because I do not take insurance on my phone.

SO, final opinions? Planning on going out today or tomorrow to pick it up.

Also, I see someone posting about the color . What is the final thoughts on color? Is the darn thing black or brown? 😁

I have 579 contacts, mostly business. I hit the voice command button and it says " OUT OF MEMORY!" "PLEASE DELETE SOME UNUSED CONTACTS TO ACTIVATE VOICE COMMANDS!" WTF? Also can't record sounds and set as ringtones. Can't shift outside clock to left. Its too friggin long and heavy. It sucks. If I could get an NIB 815 I'd jump at it. Might go to NEXTEL for the ic902.
Does anyone know with 100% certainty if I can get a V3m from Alltel and activate it on Verizon network? I used to be able to do it. If that new coupe had 1000 contacts, bluetooth, and a crappy camera I'd get that. These new phones all suck.

I saw this phone in the store and have to say i was not impressed and kinda upset i was stupid enough to get over excited.

It felt like cheap plastic. The old razr seemed like better quality.

Wow did it look cheap.

I'm not a fan of any of the phones Verizon is carrying at the moment, but it's time for my upgrade. Does anyone have an opinion as to what phone is better, the v9m or the 8700? I'm leaning towards one of those, but don't know which to get. For people who have seen both, what do you think?
