Motorola RAZR2 V9m

I just got the VZW version this morning and must say I love the look of this phone. The mocha color is beautiful and you can't get much shinier than this.

Does anyone know if there is a quick shortcut to getting the phone to vibrate only mode? In the manual, I could only find instructions saying to have the phone open and press and hold the down volume button. Problem is you have to scroll through the volumes, from highest to silent, which is a bit annoying because it scrolls quickly and you might miss the one you want, and have to go up one. Well I guess I will just have to get used to it. I haven't had a Moto in a while, are they all like this? With my LGs, I always just pressed and held down the * button.

I currently have the LG 8300 and on normal usage can get 3 days before even getting to the last cell on the battery display. What are you currently seeing for battery life and what is your normal usage?

I just got my VZW V9m and I'm coming off 2 years with nextel. I wanted to switch to verizon mostly because of the ESPN MVP service and I figured to go with the newest razr. I've had two people tell me from verizon that I could get espn mvp on the V9m so I signed up for vpak but I dont know where the heck it is on the get apps list. Any of you have any luck with this? Thanks.

I see that the V9M for verizon no longer says ONLINE ONLY on the website. I thought tomorrow was the release date for the stores? I'm going to check the store today but does anyone know if I'd be wasting my time with the trip to the store?

Also, worth the price? It's going to cost me $149 after I use my new every two!

What do you think? Worth the $$$? I am planning on picking this up at the store on Wednesday. Fill me in on pros and cons.

I was in the sprint store and took a few photos and it looked clear until the camera snaped the picture and processed it. Then it was fuzzy looking and the colors looked a little dull or washed out. INPUT please

can u have mp3 ring tones? i have a bunch of mp3s on my E815 that i have as mp3 ringers. i am NOT buying that crap from vcast!

Ok, this question is directed to the VERIZON only people.

Those of you that have the V9m, do you think it's worth it over the krzr? Other than being a little thinner and having a better camera... is it worth it?

I'm up for my NE2 and the krzr would be free whereas the V9m would cost me $149 with the discounts. is it worth it?

the camera is not a deciding factor for me, nor is the ability to read texts on the outer screen, nor is a stopwatch, battery that lasts a week between charges, etc.

for me personally...
1) it has to be thin (which both are IMO)
2) it has to play MY mp3 ringtones or be able to be hacked to do so (cause i'm SOO not wasting money on verizon's vcast ringtones)
3) the voice quality has to be gre...

My thinking is initially no, especially since there is no mobile email or espn mvp. I understand the outer screen is beautiful, but not very useful.

I called Verizon and was told the $100 rebate is instant if you purchase online BUT is a mail in rebate if bought from a Verizon store.

You have to pay upfront and wait for your rebate.....6 to 8 weeks?????

The photo of the phone on the verizon website is awful! I am curious to see the phone and am waiting until Wednesday but wonder if the phone is black with the bronze/brown color ONLY on the section where it is more shiny/metallic.

If anyone can post a link to photos that they , themselves, have taken of the phone, I'd appreciate it!

Hello all. I just got my Verizon V9M in the mail today and I have to say this phone is GORGEOUS. The Espresso color actually look very nice. Everyone who has seen the phone today loved the color.

I can't say too much about the phone, but so far:
*This phone is quite a bit heavier than my V3M.
*A tad bit taller than my V3M.
*Thinner than the V3M.
*Beautiful displays both inside and out.
*Camera takes excellent pictures.
*Still has the Verizon UI, but it never really bothered me.
*Love the big front display.
*Ringers are pretty much the same as the old V3M.

Overall, very happy with the looks and the call quality is EXCELLENT.
