BlackBerry Curve 8310

Can make and receive calls fine but I have to use my contact list to call out. When I try to dial a phone number, it lets me dial 2 numbers and then brings up a menu that I can't get out of. Is this a setting issue or is the phone junk.

My girlfriend just got a blackberry curve 8310, in the product manual it shows two icons available medianet and web browser, but on the actual phone menu there is no shortcut or icon for web browser only medianet.. Can anyone help?? Thanks

I read the manual and found that the enclosed BlackBerry software is not compatible with Macs. The only PC in the house is busted, and it doesn't have the music I want to use for my ringtone(s). Is there any Mac-compatible BlackBerry software?

Make sure you have the Desktop manager installed, but not running, and the phone has to have wireless disabled and not be connected to the computer when you install the update. Backup, then install the software thru the desktop manager. *there have been some issues with the automatic backup and the automatic update, do these manually from the desktop manager and you should be good to go.

Just got my hands on 4.5 and must say I love the improvements for the Curve. I can now record videos, make voice recordings and watch You Tube streaming video!

The browser is significantly improved, I find myself using it more than Opera Mini now. Formatting is better, and now I can copy/paste from web pages.

Everything is running smoothly, just wanted to read some feed back from others who have installed the upgrade.

I have a BlackBerry Curve 8310 and I recently started having some problems with charging the battery. What happens is that I will charge it and I will notice an hour or so later that the light has turned off. Thinking that the plug has come loose, I will unplug the charger and plug it back in again. Sometimes the light does not immediately come on like it's supposed to. Sometimes I have to jiggle the charger while it's plugged into the phone and the light will come on and the phone resumes charging. It's as though there is something that has to have contact made in the plug part itself in order for the phone to charge. Other than this charging issue, there is nothing else wrong with it. Our company is looking at getting us the Curve as a tool. Can you access and USE Microsoft Excel? Our managers have the Pearls and they can access Excel but can not make any changes in the file. Thanks in advance for any help.

I dont know if its possible or not but is there a way to delete the whole inbox of text and my curve has been acting slow like when i select send on my texts it takes forever. All my programs are off and all my interenet is cleared. I have tried battery pulls which help a little but not much. Thanks in advanced.

Hey, I was wondering if anyone else has this sort of problem and if so how do you fix it? (What were u doin when it happened as well)
If for instance I try to go to www.Seenontemptation.com my web page freezes, I've used refresh to try and fix it but the hour glass just spins,after givin up I use "stop"...then "close" the browser after giving up however after doing so the hour glass continues to spin every 5 seconds. It's done this on a few other pages as well and the only fix I've found is to remove the battery which is a huge pain cuz I have a hard case that is almost impossible to get off...thanks for any input and or help!

I would like to buy a larger micro-SD card, maybe a 6 or 8 gig. I know that a 2 gig works, but will the larger capacity high speed cards work. Anyone tried the larger cards yet?

When deleting ring tones why does the title of the ring tone stay on the device but the sound part is deleted? To get rid of the title you need to reboot the phone. Is this a problem with all 8310 or is it just my phone?

When in the heck will ATT finally upgrade its smartphones, mainly this BB Curve 8310 to 3G? They said they will, but so far NOTHING. I am tired of waiting. I have an 8310 now and I hate the speed I get when I get tether it to my laptop. It's very slow. Anyone knows how I can get a higher speed than 115 kbps?

PS. any comments about me getting a Laptop Card, please keep it to yourself. I don't want it. I prefer to tether.

All of my email messages go into both the messages inbox and the email inbox. How do I get it to stop? I have the general options set for SMS & email inboxes as separate. I thought this way the email messages would only go in the email inbox and only text messages would go in the messages inbox. I also get phone messages such as missed calls and calls made in the messages inbox. How do I stop those?

i have a customer who is having ringtone issues. He uses 2 different profiles in the phone that he switches between daily. Hes a local police officer so he has several different groups he sets ringtones to. About 2 days he adds ringtones to a certain person or people it removes itself like every 2 days and he has to re-add them. This is a re-occuring thing with every custom ringtone he adds. any thoughts?

I have an 8310 which I replaced a week ago through warranty. I had no problem for the first 5 days but since Friday my phone has started to delete phone logs and sms (fortunately not e-mails yet). Do I need to replace it again or is this a network issue because I have sold this phone to a lot of customers backing the berry over the iphone and others. Now this is a problem I haven't seen with the pearl so it leads me to believe that it is a phone issue. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. No problem with calls I still think the berry makes the best overall phone in terms of calling.

I am a new blackberry user. I just bought the blackberry curve and have a question about setting ringtones to a certain contact.

Please help me. I must admit this is a little bit of a learning curve coming from the Windows based Treo. I'm trying to figure out how to set up a different "sound" as in alert for a text message and an email. Can this be done - My eyes are crossed from the manual.

Also, ok this one is BAD!! Please don't yell at me. HOW do you set the ringer volume? I know you can go to the speaker icon and change it from loud, normal, virbrate - etc, but sometimes this is to low/high. Can you change the volume level? If i hit the volume keys during an incoming call it goes automatically silent.

I am a NEWBIE - so please be patient.
