Has anyone been able to get an application to load from the desktop?

Have you found any/some/most of the applications from previous phones worked on the new 8130?

Does this phone come with a belt clip included? Or any sort of "protection" for the phone such as a case, etc?

Does this BlackBerry (8130 Pearl for VZW) scratch easily?

Does the screen scratch easily?

I am wondering if it is worth shelling out the $$$ for a protective silicone or leather case and the screen cover...

How much is the phone going to cost me if I'm still under contract???

Will the 8130 record phone calls...either one side or both sides of the conversation? If not, is there a reliable third party application?

To those of you that have the device... Have you tried to send a picture or a video? Any success? My cousin has hers and is having issues sending either both. She can receive them but not send them.

Just wondering if anyone is having the same issues.

So it would seem that there is no way to change the color of the Trackball. I even downloaded an app, called "colorpearl" and still had no such luck. Kind of a bummer...guess it doesn't have multiple LEDs under the Trackball.

Hey does anyone know of a app that will allow the flash to function as a flash light????

Hey guys quick question..... I am a Big Guy (6'2''....265 lbs)... consequently i have big hands and following suite big fingers.... how hard is it to type for someone with my stature... I have not seen too much out there about this.... and cannot seem to get ahold of one to try it out.... you opinions are greatly valued and much appreciated...

I'm totally new to Blackberry .. When I receive emails with url's in them or an image and url it only displays in plain text.

I'm wondering if their is a way that my emails can be converted to HTML?

Does anyone know how many text messages the Pearl can hold before having to delete? The biggest problem I have with my current Samsung SCH-A990 now is it only holds 50 and I am always having to delete more than once a day. Buying the phone online in a couple minutes and im souped.

Can anyone comment on the activation of a new 8130 purchased on Ebay? Are there complications or issues that might prevent converting my existing number to it? I am on a national account and the store cannot activate a new phone on my existing number, and to go thru my company to purchase new requires budget approval. If I tell them I have a phone in hand to activate, it shouldnt be a problem.

I just got this phone last night...does it have airplane mode?

Not sure which to get, new pearl has updated software and camera which i do use
however, 8830 can work around the world which is really nice and i am a fan of the full qwerty keyboard

The verizonwireless.com/Next website indicates the Pearl will have VZ Navigator, BREW or no BREW, but will only be availbale starting 11/08.

Does anyone know if the Pearl 2 will have actual stereo speakers on the device (for music and/or ringtones)? or will it only have stereo bluetooth support?

Also, how does the trackball work? Do you push the trackball down to select something, like clicking a mouse? or is there another button you use to select?

Is there an option to set ringers/text message alerts to only one beep, but have the alarm be High & Vibe? (I never even knew a phone could do this before my current Sanyo 8400, but now I don't think I could live without that option)

Also, will this have support for My Content Manager (for ringtones/screensavers)? I know other BB's and WM devices don't, but Palm OS based phones do...and I was wondering if the Pearl would sin...
