Operating the enV2
I've had this phone for three days. So far I am impressed with the compact form and the keyboard. Not as impressed with the sound quality on the ear piece and the speakers, which is a bit coarse.
Another issue is convenience: it does not seem possible to use voice dialing without using a headset. One cannot control ring tones unless the phone is open. (And it comes with very few ring tones). The wallpaper is confusing - it seems to highlight the opposite of the choice that one intends. And, like all Verizon phones, it seems to see Apple computers as evil-doers that it refuses to work with. So one can all but forget bringing music from in iMac or PowerBook into this phone.

Got my enV2 today. One thing I don't like right off the bat..
Like the title says, I got my new phone today, upgrading from the VX8100 (good phone, great quality). I got the enV2 when I got a text from Verizon saying I could upgrade. Called, they had this as an option there only, so I got it instead of the original enV like my gf has. But getting mine today, I noticed they didn't provide camera lense protection like the last enV. Her's has that little shutter that covers and protects the camera. This one doesn't. It's just always there, waiting to be scratched. Kind of disappointed with that.
Otherwise, while I'm still searching thru the phone and options, I'm liking it. It's a huge step away from my 8100 flip phone, and will take some time getting used to, but it's quite neat and elegant lo...

what colors!?
hi.
i am only able to find that it came in only black and red. not that those aren't nice colors but i was hoping for a bright blue or green. or a purple!
has anyone 👀 seen 👀 this phone in any color other that black or red?
perhaps once it comes out and sells quickly, they will come out with new colors. like they did with the env in green and orange.

Firmware over the air (FOTA)
If you go to the lg website and look at the features listed it says FOTA. If that is true, and they apply to all there new phones, Verizon will have the edge over ATT and the iPhone.
You can buy over the phone, I am waiting for them in the STORES
Yes, it's true they aren't online but if you call 611 from your VZ phone talk to Customer Service they will order you one. I want to wait to touch them in the stores , which should be May 4th. I don't want to have to return and pay for shipping if I don't like it.
I have waited this long. I can wait less than two weeks for them to show up in the stores.

YES ITS TURE I CONFIRMED I ORDER MINE lol
Well after reading several threads on here about people ordering there Lg Envy2 I decided to also place my order well turned out that they said they had no Information regarding the phone and it was still not due out, so I decided to call a second time and was told the same thing. At this point I thought this guys that were posting on this threads were BS"' but later on the evening I decided to call once more and sure enough the guy looked it up and there it was, he was able to order it for me. They come either in BLACK or MAROON the maroon has more of Glossy metallic look so I went with that one. Since im already and existing costumer I had to pay retail price which was 349.00 my final total came out to 372.15 with shipping. So just thought...

Barely bigger than the Razr
Finally someone came out with a phone that isn't a huge brick. By the listed dimensions this is only slightly larger than the RAZR and THIS has a LONG life battery.

Instinct UI Question
So the "home" screen on the m800 Instinct is just the menu, like the iPhone? So the user CANNOT apply any sort of wall paper, let alone change the color of the UI itself.
I'm really wondering why Sprint was so afraid to include the Samsung TouchWIZ UI that just launched in Korea. Now that would have been really innovative compared to this bug-ridden build from the ground up (WHY??) fisher-price looking user interface.
It is my opinion that they should have let Samsung design the UI themselves, not outsource it to a 3rd party company. BAD idea.

HAHA TAKE THAT STEVE JOBS & ATT WIRELESS
Let me start off by saying I'm proud of Sprint and Samsung for coming up with the Instinct. This phone seems very profitable. Competition is what made America great at one time. IF YOU BUY AN UNLOCKED iPHONE YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO DO W/E HELL YOU WANT WITH IT AND IT SHOULDN'T BE RELOCKED. OTHERWISE DON'T CHARGE PEOPLE SUCH A HIGH PRICE FOR THESE WORTHLESS SOON TO BE OUTDATED DEVICE.
Before you know it walmart will be peddling Apple's iphone on shelves for $75 due to the fact so many better devices came out because people didn't want to wait for an unlocked iphone or the price to go down and the iphone has become yesterday's news. I hope the Samsung instinct is a big success that allows people way more freedom to tinker with it then Apple doe...

Samsung Soul
Samsung brought the new Soul (U900) to the show and they claim it is a GSM QUAD band (vs the tri band they brought to BWC 200😎. I am hearing that it will not be available in the U.S. anyway. Has anyone out there herd anything about this phone coming to the U.S. or if it can be purchased as an unlocked QUAD band?

Joby Zivio???
Anyone have any updated info on availability of the Joby Zivio bluetooth headset?
(their website for ref: http://www.joby.com/products/zivio/ )
It seemed to make a splash when announced a few months ago, but I can't find any news of it from CTIA. Zivio was supposed to be available this spring (according to the company), but still nothing but dead air out there in the marketplace and in the media.
Anyone have any current info on the Zivio?
