LG enV2 (VX-9100)

This is like a survey. I ask you to share what you are using to protect your phone. Are you using a case, pouch, the Verizon silicon thing, nothing, ECT. Has anyone used those BodyGlove® pouches yet?
I have always had a case on my phone. The last two were flip open/clamp shells. The OEM case I had on my 8300 kept that phone in excellent condition. I use my phone in hostile environments including heavy dust, direct sunlight with lots of heat, lots of vibration and salt moisture. Currently I do not see much out there in the way of pouches or cases to protect this phone. SHARE YOUR IDEAS PLEASE!

does anyone know when the faceplates come out and what they look like? and what material is the externam keypad made of? plastic? and what about the silver lining?

Maybe I'm just stupid, but I can't seem to set the time for any of the 3 alarms. Any one else have this problem? Thanks in advance.

What's a good bluetooth headset that pairs well with this phone? I've never had a bluetooth headset before and trying to pick through all the available models is overwhelming! Thanks!!

I followed another users suggestion and downloaded Handbrake for saving a movie. The problem I am having is that my 2g Sandisk card does not give me the option of saving to a folder that matches my phone.
I do not have a My Videos folder when I use the USB adapter. I only have my_flix.
I tried creating a my_videos folder but that did not work and I have tried formatting the card on the computer.
Please help since I would really like to be able to watch Star Wars on my phone. Thanks.

Ok...I posted something not too long ago about being able to DL the newest version of VZ Navigator...and I was able to do it a couple days later...now I'm trying to DL the newest version of the Mobile IM...and it keeps saying that I already have the newest version available. not true. I have 2.15 and my bf has 3.00...wtf? is this the same idea as with VZ nav? Just wait some more and eventually will be availble for the newer phone? that kinda sucks if thats the case...TIA...

I can't seem to get this phone to capitalizing the first letter in a new sentence or starting a new text. Has anyone had this problem? Please Help...

For those of you who choose to SCREAM in capital letters when posting or emailing (a terrible habit), I accidently noticed that if you press the enV² QWERTY keyboard Shift key twice quickly, it remains in Caps Lock mode. I may have missed it, but I didn't notice the feature in the User Guide.

Does this phone have voice dialing? If so, is the button on the front of the phone or do you have to bring it up on the menu?

Has anyone else noticed that the silver finish wears off really quickly on the enV2? I've had mine three weeks and it has not touched anything but the cloth inside my pocket the whole time. Already the silver has worn off in one spot altogether and looks very used all around. Seems like a manufacturing goof on an otherwise great little phone.

Anyone figure out how to DL your calendar to your desktop yet?? any software for that? 🙄

I got a USB cable from eBay but the included CD did not have the drivers for the env2 =/ I've contacted the seller but haven't heard back. Can anybody help me out with tracking down the drivers? I'm dying to tryout the USB Mass Storage feature.

I have the original V (9800) and I love it . I can upgrade to either the env-1 or env-2. The reason I haven't upgrded to the en-1 is because it's really the same phone as mine. I was thinking of upgradeing to a treo because I would like to have a calander where I can use as an place appointment list. One where I can input more than the 32 charachters my phone allows. My phone as well as the env-1 can only input 32 charachters and there is only one subject area to do this.
I would like to know from the env-2 people out there, whether there are more places to input charachters and how many charachters can be placed in a subject area of the calander.

Does anyone know if they are going to come out with any other colors besides the black and maroon?? I can't wait to get!!

I'd mentioned before that my env2 sounded horrible in speaker phone mode and when holding to my head. I took it in and had it replaced with a brand new env2. The new one is doing the same thing. There's static like distortion in my calls and when I play ring tones and other sounds. Verizon tested my reception, and it's not that, so it's got to be inferior speakers. It kind of crackles up some.

I saw someone else mention this. So who else has this occuring? Is it annoying enough that you won't keep your phone after the 30 days?

Ok, so I asked if the cutting out noise was just me or it was the phone. - Now that we are pretty certain that its the phone, do you think its with everyone of them or its specific to my handset??

Also, does anyone know if the non exisistant vibration will be able to be fixed with a software upgrade??

Just trying to figure out if I should return this phone & exchange for another Lg Env2.

I know mentioned this in a early thread, and the fact that LG doesn't allow, us the full Abc since it's what you choose in settings is very strange. I have a friend that has the Samsung sch-U470 and when in text mode it Capitalizes the first letter in a sentence. WHY DID LG LEAVE THIS IMPORTANT FEATURE OUT. Most of us are buying this phone for texting , not just on the front of the phone but on the inside of the phone (most important). Am I being to Anal or picky, what is your take on this ? 🤭

I'm battling between whether or not to get this phone. I'm wondering how sturdy it is and how the call quality is, because I'm on the phone a lot. So if somebody could answer those questions, it would be great! 😁

Anyone know how to access mp3 files on my microSD memory card? I took the card out of my old VX8300, where I had no problems, but the enV2 doesn't see the music.
