do the texts have to download before they can be read/opened?
i have an older nextel and i have to wait for my texts to download.. is this phone the same way? or do they automaticaly open?

😁 yes, but it could kbe downloaded as soon as you receive it and don't have to wait
Just go to messages
Inbox don't click it just highlighted.
press menu it will say "setup"
click on the setup link 😳
scroll down where it says download
and select automatically..
it seems like alot but is easy..
now as soon as you recive a message and you click read it opens it and you do not have to wait until it downloads. 🙄
