Almost every app. in My App. World showed an upgrade being available. Started to do the upgrades, an error came up that app. world was not accessible, did a reboot after one of the upgrades took, and now my app. wold icon is gone. It was the last icon on my bottom row. Now the media folder is there. Also getting an error that says I cannot visit this web page when radio is turned off? Pulled battery and rebooted a couple times, and nothing is there.

Anyone heard of this or know if this app works on the Storm 2? It is a thread view, that shows on the Iphone and my son downloaded the app to his Droid.

All of a sudden when i try to MMS photos or even open the attachment that someone else sent me to the phone, I get a red clock in the corner and nothing works.

Can you help? I'm sure it's just a setting that I'm missing...

Please advise me on my Storm 2 what touchscreen numbers I should set my tap interval, hover period, and swipe sensetivity to achieve the easiest of typing e-mails? Thank you....

My friend is trying to transfer an app from his Sprint EVO to my S2 through bluetooth, is this even possible, and if so, what do I need to set up on my phone to receive it? A message on his phone comes up stating Object lacks Object Push Profile OBEX OPP?

My storm 2 has worked flawlessly with the bluetooth in my car since I bought the car in February. Now , about three days ago, all of a sudden, when I go to the phone/info button on the car and try to use my speed dials or contacts..it says "call waiting " and there is a counting upwards number.

I went to Verizon, they sent me to Lexus. I went to Lexus, they said that I have to upgrade my software using the cord that came with the phone syncing it with my computer and downloading some BB Suite software? Seems like alot of trouble and kind of ridiculous to have to go through all of that. The lexus rep said it would take about 45 minutes. Add to that, I can't find the cable that came with the phone to do so even if I wanted to.

Well in the past we all thought that the rumored Blackberry Slider had to be the Storm 3, however I could not see how that would make any sense, because adding a physical keyboard to the Storm series defeats the purpose of the Storm. I am a follower of the BlackBerry since the first BlackBerry Storm, which had so many problems, however made me into a fan of the BlackBerry. I am now an owner of the BlackBerry Storm 2 and find it a pretty enjoyable phone to use, but can't help but to think about the Storm 3. Yes I will get that phone. Lol, I am pretty much a Storm addict now, and really have high hopes for the future of BlackBerry. ANy idea or thoughts about FB on the 9550? I have not been getting any notifications on my phone at all. I can post links, like things, etc etc but I dont get anything.

A friend of mine has the tour and he had the same thing happen to him after teh new OS update.

Any thoughts? or similar problems???

This actually looks very promising, there are a lot of subtle changes that you would miss if you're not a BlackBerry user. New features and refinements:

- Slide the homescreen icons to pull up the Application Menu.

- "Extended Search" in the Media player which searches your library of multimedia while also searching YouTube, and presumably the internet.

- Cover flow style media player.

- New YouTube application, more iPhone style looking.

- Pinch to zoom added to photos.

- Some sort of Quick Menu to switch applications, zoom, set as wallpaper, all within multimedia.

- Touching the notifications area on the home screen causes all of your "Today" content (Messages, Calls, Calendar events) to slide down.

hey, how do u like the storm2 compared to the storm1? im still on the 9530 and its starting to becoming annoying; theres non stop lag! i think the best way to fix it is to delete my 3rd party apps... which is somewhere around 20 different apps..i start up the phone with less than 1mb 😢 and im really considering upgrading it to the 9550.. or maybe wait for the iphone to get on verizon(figers crossed).. even tho im a blackberry addict.. only thing i like about the iphone is all the free apps! LOL! but its useless at multitasking..

whats your opinion?? upgrade or wait for something better?

I've learned a lesson today regarding the Desktop Manager restore function that I'd like to share. I have 6 themes with over 100 icons and 10 folders customized on each one. I needed to restore a file from a successful backup using D.T. Mgr., so I thought. 🙄

What I discovered after restoration was that all custom folders were deleted with the content sent to the default download folder. My menu icons (50) were rearranged or moved. All of the custom designed setups were eliminated as if they were DL for the first time. This included the Stock Zen, too!

So, the lesson learned here is NOT to do a restore unless you've crashed your phone or have lost it. If you alter your themes or design a menu pattern that you've customized...

Upgraded to the new software via the phone. I now have the Backup Assistance App. Installed it and it worked fine, I did the exact same process to my wife's Storm2 and no back up Assistant Icon, and can't seem to find it anywhere, any ideas? I already called and talked to two tech reps. they said they will get back to me Saturday. Any ideas, anyone? 🤨

It's a leak and not officially released anywhere of course. I think I am going to try this one after sitting out the last leak.

I must be missing the days when I used to update every 2 weeks or so with the 9530 🤣

Has everyone noticed a little addendum to their device? It appears RIM pushed the BB Messenger Icon onto the home screen, and onto the Storm as a core application. The 607 build also brought with it 2.6Mb of device memory occupancy with no way to delete it.

The icon keeps popping up on my home screen even if I hide it or send it to the junk folder.

That resource "development energy" would have been better applied to an OS that utilized media card resources for 3rd party apps..... :

I setup a gmail account and then setup my work email in the settings -> accounts and import. The reply is setup to use works email, but for some reason if someone attached a delivery receipt in outlook both the works ISP and gmail send delivery receipt emails. The issue is that the gmail account sends the delivery email using the gmail account.

I don't want our customers knowing my gmail account.

This issue does not happen with the Droid Gmail App.

The web browser on my storm 2 is so slow that I have stopped using it lately.

My son just got the DROID and his internet is SOOOO much faster I can't believe it.

Anyone have any comments on how their internet service is?

When I try to play video from UTube on my Storm2 I get that message that "an error has occured" - no further information! Anyone else having (or had) this problem?
