Motorola V600

What is Wireless Village and how does one use it for messaging?

Does anyone who know a cell phone which has a faceplate same as v600? like a U shape faceplate. I like the U shape faceplate because it's easy to change and cool.

I realize that the T-Mobile version of this phone doesn't support the 850 band, but is this because it lacks the hardware to do so, or only because it has a software lock on that band put in place by either T-Mobile or Motorola? Also, if it is a software lock, does anyone know how to remove it? Thanks.

my friend has this phone and wants to use it through cingular. It's a Motorola v600 from ATT. I just need to find the subsidy code to make it work with my Cingular sim.

anyone have any idea? or can they point me in the right direction

When the phone is in my pocket, I often make a call to someone on my voice dial list. I wish that I could disable the voice dial button when the cover is closed or completely since I use the voice dial feature from the Bluetooth head set.

Any ideas?

Hello,

Until recently I had no problem connecting via bluetooth and transfering files to the bluetooth exchange folder. Recently I will try to send a file and it will connect, transfer the file, and at the very end it will say "Failed, Connection Interrupted" and it will be unable to move the file.

I called Motorola and they said I should go buy Mobilie phone tools at a nearby store. I don't buy that b/c I was transfering files with no problem before. Does anyone know what is wrong?

When I am charging my phone it takes forever to charge and the battery indicator blinks as it has 1-2 bars full while charging... but when I unplug the charger the battery Indicator stops blinking (as it should) but goes all the way to 3 bars full. Also when I look at the phone status in the phone tools menu, I go to battery and it says that it is full all the way to 6! What the hell is going on? Is this normal and does anyone else's phone do this?

I bought a USB dongle hoping to be able to transfer some java files to the phone but no luck I uninstalled the software and reinstalled it still nothing it will bond between the two but when I go to hands free nothing shows up so I have it look for a device and it finds none I have set the password when it asked to bond and all but after the bonding is done they loose sync. Im stumped can someone help please???

Does anyone with T-mobile have this phone?

If so what do you think of it? Is it a good buy? What do you like and dislike about it?

If anyone has used the v600 abroad, were there any problems with the modes switching automatically? And does the phone need a current converter to charge overseas or just an adapter for he plug?

I am travelling to Europe shortly and would like to know what service options people have tried, how much it has cost them, and what has worked, and what hasn't.

I will need to make calls within Europe while I am there, and I was thinking of using SMS with friends in the United States because of the time difference.

Do you think the video capture capability on the V620 is just a software update?

when I have a bluetooth headset on, ringer IDs don't work - all calls use default ringer. Is anybody seeing this as well? Is there a solution to this?

I'am in the middle of the Cingular & ATTWS trasitional period. I'am an employee & in need of a phone. Should I go with the V600 or the V551? I have heard of the handoff problems with the V600 on the 850 network. I have heard that this was the reason this phone was discontinued. Can anyone in an 850 majority network elaborate? Here are my uses with a phone:
Definitely need Bluetooth
Definitely a great speaker phone
Edge or GPRS no matter, I do not use the internet very often even if its free for me.
Camera - don't really matter.

I love the looks of the V600 but Iam concerned with the 850 mhz problems I keep hearing about.

I like the fact that the V551 has everything an more than the V600 but definitely hate the looks of the cheap bl...

Can anyone tell me if you can edit and forward a text message receieved or in the outbox to another number on the V600?

My friend's v600's battery is always dying because he's lazy and doesn't charge it. :-) I was going to buy another battery for him, but I need to know:

Does the charger that comes with the phone allow you to charge a battery without the phone? Does anyone have one that does? I'd like for him to be able to leave one battery charging, while using the other one with the phone.
