ringtones
is it possible to save an mp3 file through a text message like the other phones? i know you can use them from the memory card but its a pita to take off the cover and unmount and load it again. tia. btw this is my first smartphone and im feelin a little dumb! lol 🤣

I think it probably is amazing for short texts but can you actually dictate to it? and it's accurate??

HTC Incredible or Iphone 3gs?
I know the guts of the Incredible seems stronger and I don't argue Verizon is better but it seems like the Iphone is a more user friendly device as Ihave only quickly seen the incredible. Thoughts?

Is the backup assistant compatible with this phone and if so how do you load it onto the phone?

turning off wifi
how do i turn off the wifi? I went into settings then wireless and unchecked wifi even unchecked it under wifi settings but it just comes right back on. Am i missing something? also,none of the toggles work either.

Two Questions
I have two questions:
1. When I get an MMS I get an error message in the notification section that says message can not download. Can I get rid of that? It downloads when I go to my messages but it does gives me that error message.
2. When I am on a call if I get a MMS or text message it will vibrate once, and 10 seconds later it starts to vibrate and keeps vibrating for the longest time and it does not stop. I really need to get rid of that. Is there anyway that I can turn that off as well? Thank you in advance for any advice.

Are Droids Mac compatible
So I have a macbook...is there any program out there that will allow for some sort of syncing like I have with my Iphone? Or does it just show up as like a hard drive or something when you connect it?

Re-Sort contacts
So I just got my incredible. WOW well it is incredible. Downloaded all my contacts and calendar from Outlook but they are sorted by first name. Anyone know how to sort or view them by last name?

Slim extended battery
How much time-talk or standby-can be gained by going from the stock 1300MAH battery to a 1500MAh battery? Amyone have any guesses? Also will there be a weight gain. Thanks

battery update
This is an update from a previous post. I used the settings suggested by pepsijunky. Before I made the change,the battery went from 100% to 58% overnight in "sleep" mode in 7 hours. Now with his settings it went from 100 to 84 in the same 7 hour period, so big thanks to pepsijunky for passing that info along. Thanks bro! Now if you can just solve my reception problems id be a happy camper. Thanks everyone

Not Vibrating on Messages

Anyone else having this issue? My phone suddenly stopped vibrating when receiving any text messages or new voicemail. All settings are correct (I haven't changed them since I first set them).
Only thing different is I received the OTA update this morning... Coincidence or something more??

love this phone but the signal...
man i really like this phone but im only getting 1 bar of signal strength whereas my iphone was full. The call quality is really very choppy but i want to keep this fantastic phone. Does anyone have knowledge of any signal boosters? I see them online but i dont know anything about them or even if they work. Any help you can give me i would appreciate. thanks

Speakin of lousy batterys...
Went to bed,battery at 100%. Woke up 7 hours later,battery at 58%! whats up with that. I use task killer but that just doesnt seem right. Any help would be appreciated

texting: Incredible vs. Motorola's Droid?
The side be side comparison said that the texting was difference from each other but in the store today I didn't see too much difference? Anyone know the differences besides one is all touch and one has slide out keyboard? Thanks 🙂

how to uninstall preloaded apps?
so there isn't an abundance of crapware on here- but enough that i want to start getting rid of some...such as city id and others. how is this possible? can't do this via manage applications. any ideas?

Heat/battery prob?
Has anyone experienced a problem with their incredible getting....incredibly warm? and the battery going very fast? My mom and my stepdad each have one. they have a task killer as i showed them how to use the device. anyone else having these troubles?

...All sitting on the seat next to me as I drove 28 miles from one end of our county to the next. Palm Pre Plus rarely dropped below 4 bars, Moto Droid rarely below 3.
The Droid Incredible? Rarely went above 3.
But I noticed the same thing you did. The thing never lost a call.
What gives?
I punched in the service codes on the Palm Pre Plus to take a gander at the RSSI value. (Received Signal Strength Indicator) I also dug down into the Android menus to look at how Incredible and Moto Droid were doing.
