HTC Droid Incredible

The phone locks itself whenever the screen dims and I can't find any setting to change it.

To unlock, I have to push the button on top of the phone then slide an unlock bar down on the screen. Doing this EVERY time I want to use the phone, answer a call, see a text seems a bit much.

Anyone know a way to change these settings?

Wow this sucks. I was really happy for the last week enjoying my Droid then the Incredible comes along. Now im asking which is better and should I trade/return my droid for the incredible. Give me your opinions please. thanks fellow cellphone nuts.

i used taskiller free with my moto droid with no problems. now with the incredible, even with htc sense on my ignore list, every once in a while when i do a "kill all" with the widget, sense restarts. any ideas? developer really doesn't have an answer.

Hi does anyone know how to stop getting that tip msg every time you go to your phone? I know I can make it go away by hitting the bottom on the screen by there has to be a way to make it not say to dial a number start typing or to dial by name.... HELP PLEASE or are we stuck with this feature?

Was wondering if anyone has figured out how to put my ring tones and wallpaper and music on the 16gb phones memory.
I can not send them to my number @vzwpix anymore like other hand sets?
I figured a way to put them on my SD card but what a waste of the internal memory !!

It used to be(yesterday) that after i received an email notification and read it that the little envelope symbol in the drop down would disappear. now it doesnt. Anyone know why? Sometimes this phone just makes me crazy but I love it anyway

Hey guys, I have a new weird symbol/icon in my notification drop down that ive never seen before. its set up like a fraction with the top looking like a capital F without the small "arm", with the part going left to right longer then the top to bottom part.there is a slash like a fraction,although it goes on angle(from 10 to 4 like on a clock) and then on the bottom is a solid white circle. If anyone knows what this is please let me know,Thanks

It's amazing that they just can't make the perfect phone with great features for VZW. The voice dialing software on this phone sucks! The fact that you cannot voice dial from your bluetooth is even worse, aren't we supposed to be hands free these days, my old Samsung i760 PDA phone has better voice recognition than this thing and it works with my bluetooth! It's ridiculous that a cell phone company doesn't include this, forget about all the other stuff the phone does, it's still a phone that you need to use in your car while keeping your eyes on the road. The android marketplace doesn't even offer a solid app for purchase, Google offers one that is more for VOIP call and rerouting your call through Google Voice, how about something that just...

OK - so I am ready for my new every2, but still on the fence as to getting the Incredible or wait to see if Verizon gets its version of the iPhone.

Wondering how painful it is going from keyboard to touch screen. I've been on a Curve for sometime and I love the keyboard but hate the internet. Is it just a learning curve and getting used to a touch screen or a major change?

I have the option to format the SD Card but it's greyed out...anyone else?

Does anyone know how to change the LED notification light? The only two colors I see is:

orange for charging
green for everything else

I tried using Handcent and Chompsms. Both applications have the option of changing the color but it doesn't work on the Incredible. I was able to change the color with these applications on my Droid (which of course I replaced with the Incredible).

I am hoping to have a Blue notification light for text messages.

On the droid,when the battery is finished charging,the white light at the usb/phone connection goes out. Is there any visual indication when the Incredible is fully charged? Thanks

Why is VZ Navigator not av available for this phone? Google Maps is a very different kind of program and not nearly as good as VZN in my opinion.

My accelerometor has stopped working. anybody encounter this issue?

I thought there was a way to have different alert sounds for emails or texts so you can tell the difference when one comes in I know i had them on the droid.....

1. rite now i have a touch pro 2 which im nt happy with i want to get the incredible but i dnt want to pay the full price which is 529.99!!! when i bought my touch pro 2 i jus redid my contract online to get the 2 yr discount price and the online discount but for some reason when i try to do the same with the incredible it says full retail month-to-month instead of 2 yr contract do i have to go in the store to do this or am i stuck paying full retail ☹️ please help.
