Motorola E398

This phone has dual speaker phone right? and how are those speak phones? are they loud (not using mp3 player)?
Will Motorola release an upgrade for this phone with Video streaming, FM radio and Video capture? that would make this phone perfect.

Does anyone have any experience synching this phone with Outlook? I currently have a smartphone that synchs well, but has other problems (it's an MPX220...). So I'm looking for a new phone, but need to synch with Outlook. Anyone know how well the E398 can do that?

I require some of your wisdom. I can currently get a E398 free or get a Nokia 6230 for about $170. Any suggestions?

Has anyone tried to use this phone synced with a mac? I basically need yo have my calendar items and contacts synced, and don't know if it works with mac, although the apple site says it should.

I just got my phone and everytime after I check a voicemail I receive a text message with a weird symbol?!?!?

🤭 I know its a stupid question but everything I got for the phone is in another language 😲 SO can anybody tell me what the 3 lil blue squares that look like ice cubes are? or what they mean? And then the one that looks like a lil house? lol Im going insane trying to google it & I cant word it correctly I know its out there...helP!

Can someone please tell me if (and how) I can transfer an MPEG file from my PC to my Memory Card in my Motorola E398? I have tried using the supplied USB cable and, although it goes through the copy motions on the pc, when you check the phone the file is not listed.

Does this phone have an audible reminder for both missed calls and missed SMS messages.

hello everyone,

long time lurker, first time posting. ive been following the whole motorola trend for a while and for a bit i was completely torn between the e398 and the v710 (or 810) for a new phone. the decision would have determined which carrier i subscribed to as well. needless to say, i have my heart set on the e398 and therefore the GSM networks.

reading the specs of the phone, i notice that it doenst have a 800 or 850 mhz mode which we use here in the states. there is 900, but i believe that is Euro/Asia.

couple of questions..

1) supposively there is a stateside model with 800/850. anyone have any info regarding this release and its availability?

www.gizmodo.com has revealed that a white version fo the E398 is the long rumored iPhone from Motorola and Apple. It has the same iPod interafce but forgoes any touch sensitivity for the joystick. The phone will be allw hite and the pic they have shows it can hold up to 20 songs. The screen looks much like the iPod photo's with the album art displayed.

I have had this phone since early May, It is great.

Too bad there is limited support... I especially like the ALARM feature. It actually works when the phone is off.

Big draw back... Battery life Sucks!
