I presently have a contract with Cingular which is about to expire (can't wait). Thinking of switching to Verizon due to its superior ratings. I am considering the LG4500 as the handset. However, I am unsure about going all digital. I do drive from NY to Florida and visit in California and Las Vegas. Will I regret not having analog service???????

I am deciding between the 4500 and the 6000. I do not care about a camera, but I like the idea of a speaker phone.

I have Sprint and a Samsung phone now and have never had good reception in the Irvine area. I want to switch to Verizon and an LG phone in hopes of better reception and clarity.

The reviews would be more helpful if the reviewers mentioned what area of the country they used the phone in.

Any input would be appreciated.

Does it vibrate and ring simultaneously?

I want a small, well-designed phone without a camera. This looks like it could work, but my other requirement is that I be able to import/export my contacts from my PC to/from my PHONE. Can I do this with this phone?

Ok, so I am not really good with phones - more like I don't really know much about cell phones. All I know are the basics: turn the phone on, make calls, send messages, and turn the phone back off. As previously mentioned in the forum, the user guide is really bad at explaining things - probably because it offers no explanation about anything.
What is NAM? And what is the difference between NAM1 and NAM2 on this phone?
Anothing thing, what's the difference between the system options: Home only, Automatic A, and Automatic B?

I found a vendor who sells 1400 and 1600 mAh batteries for the 4500. I really would like to extend my talk time. Has anyone used a 3rd party battery? Will they damage the phone? Please advise.

Why is this happening? When I plug my phone into the phone charger, if my phone is on, it turns it off. I've tried turning my phone on BEFORE plugging it in, and also afterwards, and both times, it turns the phone off automatically, at least once its charged. Is it supposed to do that? With my last phone, you could use the phone while it was plugged in to save on battery.

I have imported my Outlook calendar using Datapilot. 10 minutes before an appointment, I get a reminder as a phone call ring. Does anyone know if there is a way to have a different ringer for these reminders from the schedule? The default is the same ringer for the phone. It would be nice to just have a couple beeps. Also, is there a way to turn it off?

How come I can set up my wife with a default ringer, but whenever she calls me the phone doesn't ring - it just says her name from the digital voice? This happens even when I am not in driving mode.

Is there a way to setup the phone to just hear the default ringer instead of her name? What's the use of having a default ringer for a contact if it is just going to see the name as the ring?

I just purchased this phone but cannot figure out how to record voice clips for my contacts list (i.e. the name of my contact). When I press the side button it just asks me what menu item I choose to use.
Any ideas??

Well got the phone back in Feb. Started having some problems. VW replaced the phone, no charge. The new phone now needs to be re-programmed. The original phone was all set with my number plus a pause under button 1 🙂 Now I try to do the same thing with the new phone and can NOT add the pause. The 123 button can NOT be switched to ABC to add the T or P for pause. So now I have to enter my pass manually, what a hassel. Any suggestions? Did LG change the software to elimintate this feature of auto pass wording for VM. I hope not, such a great phone till now.Any help would be appreciated. Thnks 🙂

Just got my 4500 and was working with the settings. I changed my banner page, but nothing shows after I am done. Is it supposed to show on the inside screen or the outside screen? Does it take the place of the Verizon Wireless banner on the inside screen? 😕

Quick question, appreciate any feedback you may have:

I bought a VX4500 the day after they became available. We've all noticed small software glitches that should be addressed by a firmware upgrade.

Does anyone know when / how Verizon will offer a firmware upgrade for this phone?

I just replaced my A530 for the 4500 and it seems great. Only thing is I cannot get caller id to work please can someone tell me what i am doing wrong on this phone

I recently got the LG VX4500, I used to have the 4400. It is a nice phone wish it had a camera but what you expect for 50.00 thru insurance. lol Anyway my question: Is there anyway to tranfers downloaded ring tones to the new phone? VZW cust service said no that I would have to redownload and pay for them all over again. That seems like a rip off being that I already paid for them. Any advise would be helpful
