Samsung SCH-A670

has ne1 out there had a samsung sch a670 and also tested the lg vx8000? i need help on choosin a great phone. i luv the a670 because of the size and look and samsungs good reception. but idk if i shood wait for the vx8000. its bigger but it has more options. idk

I have the Samsung SCH-A670, and i was wondering if there is a way to set it, so that when i receive a voice/text message, it vibrates instead of beeping....

I keep checking Verizon's web site to see what apps are available for my a670 and they list many new ones, but they do not show up on my phone. I can still access items that I have downloaded, and my memory is far from full - I just cannot get the new apps that they list. Is this a firmware problem? Can anyone else access the new apps?

Does anybody know amyplaces other than the get it now places to get ringtones. I tried MIDIRINGTONES.COM but they dont have the 670 listed as a compatable phone. This is the sameway with the samsung fun club website.

How do you save the ringers to your desktop? when i do it, it give me an error message and won't let me save target as. can someone help please? Thnx.

a) I do get the little envelope (new mail notification) when I get a text message.

b) I'm not getting the little envelope when people leave voicemai - shouldn't get it then too ???? I know it isn't instantaneous, I mean days elapse, no envelope.

i've been battling between these two phones, i've made lots of topics on each forum and everything but i just don't know which one to pick. i really like the a670 because it is so small and sleek and i like the vx7000 because it has so many features. anyone who has had both of these phones can you tell me which one has like better picture quality, reception, features, and other things like that??... thanks in advance

Hi- I've been looking through some of the different threads on this subject. But what appears to should work does not. When i receive a pic message, i can click on View and then Option and my only Save option is to Save Msg. I've done that and then gone into my wallpaper and the previous image is not in any of the folders (Gallery, My Image, Preloaded). Any suggestions?

Have you ever noticed if you put a special ringer for a contact on your phone that sometimes that when that person calls you that specialized ringer doesn't sound and only your main ringer sounds? Anybody ever have this happen to them?

Is it my imagination or does verizon wireless picture websiite not work anymore? whenever i try to upload my ringers onto the site, it says invalid media name and it has said this for months now. Does anyone know what is going on here?

i just got my phone a few days ago...is there any way to make the phone stop making noise whenever i take a picture?

So I bought the phone and have had an issue. I returned it and Verizon gave me another one and I am having the same issue. Sometimes when someone calls me and the call gets over I look at my call logs. It says that the call was picked up (call waiting) even thought that was not the case. Then when I hang up the call it says missed call (when the phone call actually ended). So if the call got over at 9pm it says missed call at 9pm. This has now happened on both phones. Does not do it everytime though. Is anyone having the same issue or knows why?

I just got my a670 the other day, and for some reason the caller ID is not reckognizing any incoming calls-including those saved in my contacts. Does caller ID come standard with the phone, or do you have to get it put on by a verizon rep.? Is there a special setting I have to set the phone to, or is it just broken??? Someone please help!

After incredible deliberation, perusing phonescoop for months, and actually trying an LG 7000, I went to the A670.

All I want (well ok, from a phone), are true ringtones - those that actually sound like the actual song.

Can anyone help me with a source??? I'll be your best friend.....................

for the A670, you dont have to spend money for ringtones. just a mere 10 cents for sending a pic message. here's how u do it. first create a voice memo that is around 30 secs long. if you listen to your voice memo, it sounds soft but dont worry, it wont turn out that way. next take a picture of anything u like. it doesnt really matter unless u wanna save that too. send a pic message to yourself with the voice memo that you recorded, you should be able to recieve in a normal case. save the picture or the sound and you have yourself a free ringtone. In other cases in which you do not recieve the picture message. the message should be saved in your outbox and from there, you can save your sound.. hope this helps everyone.. free ring tones! woo ...

My GF has a 670 and often experiences a delay of people hearing her when she answers the phone. For example, she'll say "hello" three times and the person calling (most often me) doesn't hear the first two "hellos". Has anyone else experienced this? Any guess as to whether or not the problem is phone related or network related? Thanks in advance.

When I'm on the phone I can hear myself echo (not all the time maybe two-three times a week). Does anyone else have this problem? How can I get rid of it?
