What happends if the USB port is damaged?

I love this phone but worry since the battery is not removable. My origanal Evo 4G USB port was damaged (due to normal use) but this type of deffect is not covered bye warranty & or store repairs bye Sprint. With the origanal EVO was at least able to purchase an external battery Charger but with this phone will not be possible.

two different model numbers?

I'm in the midst of looking for a Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE to use with Ting. Ting's whitelist* indicates the two following models are compatible:

-EVO 4G LTE Black (APX325CKT),
-EVO 4G LTE White (APX325CWH)

But... nearly every pre-owned Sprint HTC Evo 4G LTE I've found (so far) identifies the phone as model #PJ75100.

Is it possible that Sprint's version of the Evo 4G LTE has two model numbers? Or maybe the APX325 whitelist numbers listed are a different type of identifier?

Appreciate any advice or referral to help me clarify this matter before i plunk down cash on an actual phone.

thanks,
~dawn

VoLTE

Does anyone know if VoLTE has the same voice quality as Sprint's CDMA Advanced HD Voice standard?

3G Voice + Data At The Same Time

I'm just curious how I can browse the web while I'm on a 3G call with no 4G or wifi? What is different about this phone that allows me to do that?

I didn't have any of these issues

Either I didn't notice or I didn't have any of the issues listed but thanks for the update anyway Sprint. Now I hope this update didn't mess up my phone.

CONFLICTED... EVO LTE Now or iPhone 5 Later?

I LOVE my EVO and the EVO LTE looks like a huge upgrade to my current device. For a phone that has hit its 2nd birthday since its release it is STILL a relevant phone spec wise and has stood up to my abuse over the past 24 months.

I have been eligible for an upgrade for quite a while now and my EVO is finally starting to show its age. The EVO LTE is available NOW but the leaked specs on a pending iPhone 5 or New iPhone whatever it will be marketed as look really tempting.

There are some drawbacks to Android that make me grumble but iOS is so incredibly proprietary locked down.

Ever since one of my daughters friends stole my iPod out of my truck I have dragged my feet on replacing it as my EVO with Pandora has done me well for my...

The "one" major hardware advantage???

You mention "The one major hardware advantage the EVO has over other One X variants is the dedicated camera button." However, I would posit that in addition to the hardware camera shutter button, the presence of a microSD card slot, the larger 2000 mAh battery and last but not least the kickstand are no so minor hardware advantages.

Poor Apple ...

All they managed to do is anger the American consumer. We won't and can't be told what we can or can't purchase. If anything they spiked interest and create demand for a possibly "BANNED" device.

I've been ready for an upgrade for a while and for a moment I considered waiting for the tenative iPhone 5 as the net has it rumored to have a 4" or larger screen and a LTE antenna but this has truly pushed me to take a hard look at the HTC EVO 4G LTE....

Should I get this instead of waiting for the iPhone 5?

Long time sprint user and said I would get an iphone when sprint got them. Currently using an Evo and my contract is up. I was going to wait for the iphone 5 to come out, but the specs on this look pretty tempting. Also finally having some decent space on the phone itself is very appealing. I am super disappointed in the storage on my current evo since not all applications and be moved over to the SD. This leaves me not installing many applications that I would like to have..

Say It's Not So.

It appears the wrap-up section was a little rough on the beaver.

As an original Evo owner since day one, I have not been more happier with a phone. It has performed excellently and kept up with the Jones' for the last two years. However, time has taken a toll on the charging port and I need to retire the old girl. I have waited for HTC's new offering of the HTC LTE.

I'm sorry Eric, but I am taken back by your review. It appears you're more angry at Sprint's 3G network and lack of LTE and have indirectly taken it out on the device by telling people to wait. I am sure many others are in a similar position as myself of hardware issues that have been waiting.

I didn't have WiMAX when the Evo came out and I will not have LTE as this ne...

The Contestants on American Idol were given HTC One X

Last night (5/16) my girlfriend was watching american idol, and they gave all of the "idols" HTC One X phones, I recognized it immediately.

If these phones are "held up" at the border, how is this possible ?
