Samsung SGH-X426 / SGH-X427

Is there anyway to download pics, taken w/ a digital camera or scanned onto my comp., that I have saved on my comp. to my SGH-x427 to be used as wallpaper? I just bought the phone two days ago. 🙄 🙂

I have 4 Samsung X427 phones 1 works fine the other three receive the "No response from network" message when trying to access the network. I also can not download ringtones from Cingulars MediaNet. Cingular has swapped out all the phones - problem remains the Cingular techs don't seem to know what to do! And I've found that you can only call Cingular for help when you have an hour or two to kill. Help!! 😡

My aunt just got this phone and since the purchase I have gotten fast busies, cust unavailable messages when I try and call her, It has been from multiple phones that I actually placed the call so I know it is either her phone or service. She forwards her business phone to her cell when she leaves her office and it is very important that most calls go through (I know, don't use cells for business, I'm in the industry but sometimes you have little choice). Has anyone else had any major problems with this particualar model compared to other GSM phones or is it probably just the general service.

Can someone please help ASAP! I need to know whether or not you can send and receive picture messages on this phone I've been to 4 sites and I'm at a tie..2 say yes and 2 say no...Please help!

Anyone know the info on this one? We are getting it at Cingular as it will replace the X-427 yet I have no info on it.

I have an sgh-x427. I got an earbud hands free thing or whatever you want to call it. They told me it was compatible but when i plug it in nothing happens. the plug seems to be the right size. Is there anything in the settings of the phone that has to be turned on to use it or is the earbud not compatible. i have two of the earbuds and two of the phones so i don't think anything is broken cause none of them work together.

Does anyone know how to change the option of answering the phone? My boyfriend just got this phone and since it doesn't have a window caller id he has to open the phone to see who it is and when he opens it it automatically answers. Is there a way that he can open his phone and have to push the green button to connect the calls??? I can't find it anywhere in the menu to do this.

Can anyone tell me how to turn off the predictive text feature for text messaging?
I would like to actually type out what I want to say instead of the phone predicting what I want to say.

If I wanted to create my own, what file format does this phone use?

My dad got an x426 with ATTWS and it takes an inordinately long time for the phone book to load. Perhaps a minute or more, after it has loaded once, it loads quickly until the phone is powered off. After turning it on, the first access of the phone book is really slow again.

Can anyone else with this phone confirm this behavior? Is this the way it's supposed to work?

I'm about to buy the dataCable for this phone, for the only reason of uploading midlets to my cellphone..
I have the software EasyGPRS downloaded from Samsung for this phone... Does anyone knows if I can upload midlets via this soft?? Do I need another soft?? Is it possible at all??

I have seen one issue with Samsung X427 that we cannot paint full screen. It leaves some space for the commands region.
Is there any way to paint full screen? I ave seen some games that have the full screens painted in X427. Does anybody knows how to do it? ( displaying the full screen).
Even if I try to display the full screen( 128 * 160 --> including command region), that time also it leaves the command region. ☹️

The time on this phone is not correct and there is no option i've found to adjust it...Also the date is messed up as well can someone explain how to fix this?

On this phone, do the numbers on the keypad light up blue??
