Samsung SPH-A680 / VM-A680

I've been trying to make a truetone ringtone for my phone cause all the others ones, well, suck. Im trying to make one of a song. Does anyone know what kind format it is and if there is a program that can convert it? Thanks. Any help is appreciated!

Hey I am switching to Qwest soon and REALLY want the A680. It is discontinued with Qwest online, but I know I recently saw it at a Qwest Solutions kiosk at Cherry Creek Mall in Denver a few weeks ago. Anyone been by a kiosk more recently and seen one? I can honestly say i would rather have the samsung than the 8300.

I am trying to access a mobile web page (Sprint) and it displays the message, "Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Please turn it on." My only options are "Back" and "Menu".

How do I turn this on so I can access the web page?

I have a usb data cable for this phone.
I believe that you can upload pictures to your PC with this. How do you do that?
Where do you download that software???

I just read a product spec sheet for the data cable for this phone and it states that you can't download images with it and is just for syncing up Outlook is there any input about this... Is there a cable out there that will do both...?

question, i can go to like 3gforfree.com and download ringers and screensavers perfectly, but if i try to go to a website to have applications directly sent to my phone it pops up asking if i want to launch the app. i choose yes than it pops up a download handler which directs me to sprint stuff, if i choose no it closes out, how can i get applications sent to my phone like i can ringers and stuff, can i email them to myself on my phone or something? cause i really dont feel like wasting the money to buy a usb cable and stuff, there should be a way to visit these sites and get what i want without using this download handler.?

Hey all, I just picked up the Samsung SPH-A680 cell phone and its great. Ive ordered the USB cable off ebay for my phone, and am now looking for software to do the following: 1. Transfer Photos/Ringtones to and from my PC 2. Create Ringtones from MP3s. I know Motorolla has a great program to do this, so why cant I find anything for this phone? If anyone knows of anything available please reply or send me an email. Thanks.

I'm buying a usb cable soon. I wanted some more ring tones and after some searching on the net i come to this program called datapilot. I go to there site and it says Ringtone composer is not supported. Soooo...... does this mean its not possible to download ringtones then put em on the phone? anyone have this program?

About 2-3 weeks ago my ringer started to die. Whenever a call came in or my alarm went off it would be fine on the first ring and then fade to nothing on subsequent rings. About 2-3 days ago the sound completely died. The vibration still works fine. I can also hear people fine when I talk to them. It's just that the alarm/ring is gone.

Has this happened to anyone else's phone? I saw on another forum (sprintusers.com) that this is a known bug, but I didn't see anything here. So, I want to make sure that it's true.

phone has become increasingly sensitive and shuts down alot. in my pocket, if it's sqeezed too tight, even a couple times when i simply flipped it closed it turned off.
wondering if this is a defect or common to these phones. it's an especially bad problem with the mirror screen saver on the outside lcd, which doesn't let you know if it's on or off.

I was curious as to how the Last Call feature works on this phone! I previously had a samsung sph-n370 phone and the last call feature on that phone worked perfectly(indicating the exact last incoming or outgoing call, time, date, etc... However, with this a680 phone, I find that the last call feature isn't very accurate. It seems to work most times with the last outgoing call. But when I receive an incoming call, it seems to indicate the name/number and airtime of the last incoming call, but the date and time of the call prior to the last call. I know this probably doesn't make much sense, but does anyone out there use this feature and if so can you please tell me how yours works? Is this feature messed up on my phone or what? Much a...

If your looking at the a680 be prepared to be dissapointed.

I had some pretty amazing photos taken, though low quality, the scenarios they captured were priceless. however, not only is it nearly impossible to take the pictures from the phone to the computer (no cable or software is provided from samsung, and the 3rd party stuff like futuredial is CRAP) once a picture is deleted, it is gone for good.

so if you have something real swell, and you hit the wrong button once, they picture is gone forever. instant devestation. learn from me, get something that actually has the consumer in mind.

This is so freakin frustrating!! I can never find anything for my phone because Im in Canada. g3forfree for example, my service provider isnt listed, does that mean I cant use it? Does anyone know of anything for Canada? Im with Bell Mobility if it helps. I just want some cool ring tones 😢

☹️ everytime i go to delete something off my phone (like a ringtone), it completely freezes! i have to take the battery out, wait a minute then put it back in, and it freezes all over again. SOMEONE HELP ME PLEASE!!!

my sumsung sph a680 has a problem. The problem is that the sound is too low..the sound volume is the max at eight already but still hear it too low....I can't barely hear the person I am talking to on the phone. application sound is way way too low...every sound is low....not suppose to be this low when the volume is 8 for application,sound,game, and voice. Anyone know whats wrong?

I need a case that is tight fitting that doesn't leave the phone cracked open a little (as the "Body Glove Fusion Cellsuit with Swivel-Clip for Samsung A680 Cell Phones 9009101" did)or doesn't fall off easy and block the camera (as the "CellStar Swivel-Clip Case for Samsung A680 Cell Phone BB381614" did). Anyone have any suggestions. I don't like the idea of the phone being open even a little, because it seems very easy for dirt and dust to get in there. Thanks for any help....
