LG VX-7000

I have owned the LG VX7000 since jan/05 and up until last week I never experienced any problems but recently my phone is either shutting off on its own or im getting dropped calls. Now I have noticed that the model is now discontinued do I either submit my phone to a verizon store and risk getting the same model or is it better to report the phone stolen and pay the $50 which I have insurance and hope for a new model or would they send me another LG VX7000?

I updated my phonebook using Handset Manager and changed all my contact ringer ids to "low beep once" In order to fix it I have to manually change each one and next time I update it - same problem - anyone know a way I can fix this using software???


Also, does anyone know if there is a way to see the date a record was added to phonebook using this, QPST or bitpim?

Also, side issue. When using Bitpim (I have latest version 8.0), it doesnt show newly added entries???

I did it once, but I can't figure out what I did.
Is there a fast way to record a note to yourself?

Just want to share with you, I got this excellent data kit and it is really excellent for my VX7000! This product is called Handset Manager, but this is imported from Asia, I do not know where you can purchase this thing (perhaps on line?) just want to tell you all LG lovers, this data product is really something you must have and own! It is just awesome!

Hi, the front LCD screed has a little scratch on ot about 1/8 inch long. I was wondering if you had any suggestions on how to fix that. I was reading abotu this stuf called Displex, but I didn't know if it would damage the screen or make it look worse.

I just got my LG 7000 about a month ago, and I need help. I am trying to set-up a ring tone as a voicemail alert. However, it seems to me that my phone doesn’t recognize the ring tone I had selected as the voicemail alert. Every time when I received a voicemail, I got this low “beep” sound reminds me that I got a voicemail. However, the sound was so low and I can barely hear it. And I don’t understand why it wouldn’t alert me the ring tone I had selected. Is anybody else has this problem or just me? Please help.

The only thing about my VX7000 that bugs me is that, when it is in vibrate mode, there is no indication on the external LCD.

Yesterday, I had the firmware upgraded to the latest, “T70VZV10”. The upgrade had an interesting side effect. The Verizon Wireless banners on the internal and external LCDs are gone. Also, now when the phone is in vibrate mode, the text “vibrate mode” appears on the external LCD. EXCELLENT!!!!

This morning, I dialed *228 to refresh the roaming list. After the process completed, the Verizon Wireless banners are back, and my external LCD vibrate mode indicator is gone again.

WTF?

My phone is stuck in car kit mode, i tried to plug it into a car charger and a wall charger and still no luck. Is there any way to get it out of this mode?

okay im not sure about how verizon does there textin...but i texted to mah fren who is in the philippines...nd he got a prepaid fone from there nd he texts me...so i dial #data and it tells me how much texts if sent nd recieved...so it also says domestic recieve nd domestic sent...nd i sent 24 to him..wondering how much it will charge or if it will charge at all?...please reply if u do kno thanks

Does anyone know of a hack, to permanently leave the external lcd on? just curious. It would be nice to look down at your phone and have the time/date. Thanks! 🤣

I am trying to reflash my 7000 but wanted to know if it is possible to do it at my house if I had all the right equipment. If so, what equipment will I need, where would I get them, and how would I use them to reflash my phone?

ok, well i like extendable antennas and i was wondering: would it be possible to get the vx7000 and take the screw the antenna off and put an extendable vx8000 antenna in its place?

ok this bug is really stressin me out like crazy!!!......i emailed .mid ringtones to my phone so i can save them as my ringtones and it says "Memory Full" when trying to save them, but thats impossible because i have 0% usage of my memory!! i have saved 14 ringtones [no voice recorded ringtones] on my phone and never had a problem before saving them jsut all of a suddden this started happening. Also, i deleted all the verzion crappy ringtones that came with it [the ones that were able to get deleted]. can someone please tell me what the f*** is up with this???

Im shopping and comparing which phone is better OVERALL the e815 or the lg 7000????

ok i have a samsung 650 it has broken several times the display keeps going dead i have had several of these phones i would like to upgrade to the lg 7000 next time i bring it in because it broke again is their any way for me to pay less than the full retaile price of like $300 because its not my fault the phone i got sucks and im only 13 i have a hard time coming up with $300. any help would be appreciated greatly. also if its any help i have the full insurance(5.99)

i am looking to but the 7000 off of ebay. the phone is broken the top part is disconnected form the bottom. i was wondering if i bought that phone from ebay and try to activate it with verizon and go in the store and said that my phone broke would they give me a brand new one.
