Great phone!!

I just purchased this phone last week and I really enjoy it. As far as the 'volume bugs' that was only in the first batch of phones. That was the first question I asked the Verizon Rep about and he said that particular store had the new batch w/o 'the bug'. I love the speaker phone b/c ppl can hear me clearly w/o me yelling into the phone. I can clearly hear the phone ring no matter where I am. I miss a lot of the wallpapers that the 6000 had but I can always download new ones. As far as the keypad getting hot, that happens with every cell phone lately. I've had plenty of cell phones, all different brands within the past year and all of them have had that issue. Overall this phone has been pretty good to me so far.

How is this phone compared to the VX7000? I'm stuck between these two phones on which to buy. Any input is appreciated.

Thanks!

At first I was torn between the two; but this phone was a better bang for the buck. With the rebate it comes to $99. It comes with a speakerphone and it's smaller/less bulky than the 7000. I'm not a big fan of the camera phone thing, so as far as the camera I don't really know. I just knew I needed the speakerphone and a small 'non-bulky' phone. The speakerphone has been working great for me, everyone can hear me w/o yelling. If you like bulky go with the 7000, if u want new and compact, go with the 6100.

I have had the v6100 for about 3 weeks and the features are good, however, the battery life is the worst I've ever seen. With the hi-capacity battery and only moderate use I get at most 36hr of continuous on time. Reception in fringe area is also not real great, at least as compared to my previous phone, the V60i.

I agree with HONEY on most of her review of the phone...but no the warm keypad. My moto 60 never ever got warm. But, that phone w2as over 2 years old.

The only problem I have with this phone, and to me its a big one, is that people sound choppy and distorted on the other line. Not very clear at all.

I have not had the volume bug. Battery life is ok. Gizmos on it are fine. Speakerphone sounds distorted and sometimes just too loud, even thought the volume is on low.

I think I will be getting the 265, and seeing if that is more clear.

My wife got the 9900 a few days ago, and let me tell you, THAT is a VERY VERY clear phone....I just dont like its ergonomics.
