If anyone finds a third party leather case that fits the VX6100, please let me know.

When I ordered the 6100 last Tuesday, the accessories did not have pictures. I ordered the leather case thinking that the third party vendors would not have a case unless it was the same for a past model.

Since the case is so open on the front for the camera area, I'm not sure I like it. Plus, they make an opening for advertising Verizon's logo.

I'm abusive to my leather cases, so I need a better one. Any suggestions are welcomed.

I see the price on the VZW website for $149.99 minus $50.00 online Discount = $99.99. If I wait few more weeks, do you think there will be a better offer online or at the store?

Just off the phone. Ordered the VX6100 from telesales using "new every two" without a problem. Only cost tax + $50 which will be rebated. (They were out of rebate forms, but gave me phone number to call and request one) I was told to expect delivery by 10/21 or 10/22. Told also that I will need a new auto charger as the one for my old VX4400 will not work with the VX6100. Seems like it was a smooth transaction. Nice dealing with pleasant and knowledgeable CSR's over the phone! 🙂

Just wondering if anyone know if the batteries can be charged independent of the phone. I have the vx6000 and have two batteries, one is chargin while the other is in use. It looks like they've given up the desktop charger on the 6100 in favor of a travel charger and I don't think my trusty method will work with this travel charger nonsense.

Anyone know if the datacable is the same as the vx6000?

Fedex delivered the phone sometime before noon yesterday. Got it registered on-line, my number switched over and the battery charged. I'll post a review in a week or so, but initial impression is good. It is now "trained" to understand my hillbilly southern accent, and voice menus as working well.

verizon customer in the northeast trying to use the new every 2 on a 6100, just wondering if anyone had more info on the 6100 or its release date/availability, i have heard 10/18 or 10/25 but just curious if it was confirmed

on a separate note i agree with the rest, this is supposed to be a 6100 forum so we can get information on that phone not the 9900 so take it to that forum or just email eachother, it just wastes time adn space for those interested in the 6100

My first post, and I just want to say thanks for all the info. Well I just ordered my VX6100 by phone from 800 2 join in. $49 after upgrade. $81 after tax BS and shipping. Has a $50 rebate slip in box. They say My phone will be here Wednesday before 3pm. (Calif. Sf. bay area) Will give a report then. See ya.

of the people who purchased the 6100 when it was on the website??? I know hoppy received one, but did anyone else?

Its simple, the 9900 may have video but who cares. I work for VZW and the 9900 is already discontinued. I can't even order anything for it. So 6 months from now when people have battery problems or charger problems then its going to be a big pain to get warranty replacements. If the 6100 stays out as long as the 6000 did then there will be no problem. LG also makes a more user friendly phone. I just hope that the CLA for my 4500/6000 will also work on the 6100. Its kinda nice having 2 phones and only 1 car cord. Of course, it won't matter because when the Koi comes out then I will replace my 4500.

Does the VX-6100 have a flashing light like the VX-7000? I noticed that there is another light on the other side of the camera, and want to know if it functions like the VX-7000... or even better like the Samsung SGH-S307.

I know some people complained about the flashing lights of the 7000, but I like it and find it useful. Especially when driving with the radio turned up, or having my phone in silent mode at work.

I was wondering if anyone knows when I will be able to go and test out the 6100 in VZW stores? And could any current owners tell me if the buttons are rubberized or not, and how the quality of that sometimes squirrelly LG hinge is? Thanks.

I ordered my 6100 on Tuesday 10/12 and it came Fedex Friday.It seems to be a very nice phone so far.My wife has the 6000 and is a nice improvement over that with the tri-mode and speaker phone .Only thing I wish they would have left the outer display the same as the 6000.Otherwise Grade it A- so far.

I just moved down to Klamath Falls, Oregon this last month. Now, I am in need of a new carrier since my last (Verizon) isn't able to give me all my features. So, I've been looking into U.S. Cellular, or AT&T.

I've been looking at the LG VX6100, and it looks like a great phone. I've had the LG 4400 for about a year now. I've heard that USCC is supposed to get this phone, but all I've found under the VX6100 forum is that it is being released for Verizon.

Does anyone know if USCC is getting the phone or not? If not, what phone do you recommend? Also, what carrier for the area is recommended?

Enough Already! Who gives a sh*t whether the 9900 is discontinued or out-of-stock or whatever. Take it somewhere else. This is the 6100 forum. How many more times are you going to back and forth about the status of the 9900? It would be nice to see more informational posts regarding a launch date and features of the 6100. Instead this forum has been completely dominated by a couple of idiots in an endless argument about a phone made by another manufacturer. Please take your mindless posts to the 9900 forum.

Is the speakerphone Full-Duplex?

Can it be enabled before the call is in progress?

How does the speakerphone compare to that of the cdm-9900, cdm-8910 and v-710 or perhaps the V300?

I just talked to a Verizon store rep. And he said they would be available this Friday.

Can't wait to check it out. The reason I didn't get the LG VX7000 because it doesn't have Tri-Mode, because I occasionally will use it on road trips. I was going to get the Audiovox 9900 because of the great reviews and it's pretty cheap. But it didn't have a volume and Vibrate feature, neither does the Motorola v710. Which I really like that feature because its hard hear any cell phone in your pocket without the vibrate feature on too. Hopefully the LG 6100 will have that feature. I will hold off a week before I get so I can read the reviews. Hopefully the rep is correct, and they will get it on Friday.

does it feel like solid in your hand? I always felt that the 4500 didnt feel solid whereas the samsung 670 did and the 4400 for LG did too
