Sanyo PM-8200 / SCP-8200

any way to send a message while making a call?? (software upgrade or something)

I have had this phone for 8 months now and I think the battery life is awful. If I charge my phone all night long and take it off in the morning, after using no more than 20 minutes, the battery is dead. Sometimes now when I have it plugged into the charger it won't charge. It will charge for a little bit then stop charging. I need a new phone. Can somone tell me whats wrong? Does anyone have this problem or think the battery is awful?

Is there a way to set the phone so it beeps when you have voice mail,
My old phone would beep every minutes till you checked your messages, this one does nothing, and I miss a lot of calls.

Does anybody know how to send a message (ringtone/sound) to the pm8200 and than use the 8200 to save the sound file and set it as a ringtone? Does it have to midi or something else? PLEASE HELP!!! 😕 😕

i think this phone SUCKS! I had it and returned it because inspite of its wonderful features, the sound quality was a joke. i mean really, it sounded as if i was on a headset, maybe even worse. muffled and completely unclear. and if the other person was on a bad cell phone too there was no way a conversation was going to take place. it was something i couldnt live with. now a friend of mine has the phone and i occasionally use it to check my voicemail from his phone, (sprint to sprint) 😉 and its awful. does no one else in the world know whatim talking about. unfortunate too, because it could be such a great little thing. 😡

I have a pm 8200 sanyo phone, and it is locked and wants me to enter a password to unlock the phone. I cant remember what it is, can i master reset it by pushing a series of keys on the phone, or if not what can i do............thx

I just dropped my phone and put a big crack in the glass screen on the outside. 😢 Is this something that can be repaired or replaced without having to buy a new phone (Sanyo PM 8200)?

can i make ringtones for the 8200 with some computer software or something. My friends have been doing it on their nextels by downloading cool edit pro and taking their favorite songs and sending them as real ringtones to their phones.

I am using the Sanyo USB cable.

I have downloaded and installed the drivers using the .ini files from the following location:

The Windows Phone and Modem Options dialog box shows the phone on COM4 and is able to communicate with it.

BitPim is able communicate with the phone enough to display information about it on the Protocol Log tab. It also retrieves and displays the directory structure, backs it up to my hard drive, and reboots the phone.

BUT!!! BitPim cannot detect the phone as a phone or get data from the phone. I've tried using the PM-8200, SCP-8100, and the Other CDMA phone settings.

I edited my songs, converted them to wav, then to QCP...now all i need to do is get them on my phone....i have about 35 files

Lets say you just took a pic and you select send picture, and choose from phone book, and then choose a name with a mobile phone, home phone, and email. It never sends it to the email address as far as I can tell it sends it to the mobile number even if it cant receive picture messages.

What gives?

In order to mail pictures from your camera you have to create a phone book entry with out mobile phone number. Or go into your phone book then in to the contact and send it from the email address... rather counter intuitive.

hey i just got my usb cable today and i got bitpim. i was going to send some ringtones to my phone but something pooped up and said put your phone in syncing mode. how do i so that?

i downloaded some ringtones to my phone but the volume is real low and the volume on the phone is all the way up, is there anyway to make the ringtone louder

i just got my sanyo pm-8200... on my old phone (sanyo 6200) I had the wireless web service from like back in 02...so i told them that i want to keep that service even with the new sanyo 8200 i got.
i'm still able to go online right now, i'm not sure if it's the wirelssweb service that allows me to surf the web on the phone..or it's just the "2 free months" vision service, but when i log into my account i still see the wireless web, but not that vision serivce... Anyone else tried it yet??

I was really thinking about just paying for vision, but sprint has gone too far with their vision, before you can surf any site with their vision, but now you have to pay a monthly fee like ebay ($3.99/month) on top of the regular vision fees. And befor...

is Anyone else having the same problem as me, my phone keeps restarting itself, sometimes i just leave it on my desk and it will just restart itself with no reason!

How can i listen to the radio on the 8200??

Will Sanyo release a new version of this phone? Will Bluetooth be included?
