LG VX-4700 / VX-4650 / AX-4750 / UX-4750

Anyone verizon user know whats the deal with the samsung a690. Will it ever come out or what? Phonescoop has every feature that it has filled in the blanks when u preview the phone on this site and it even states in the description that its specifically for VERIZON. Whats the hold up verizon or is it samsung to blame? Anyone have any info or an inside verizon connection please share the news on this!!!!!!!!!

I just got this and the lady told me at verizon i can use this with the phone closed.
But i cant see how i can, ive tried and it always hangs up on the person.
I dont have any PTT Contacts yet, but she said it shouldnt matter, cause i can still use people from my regular contacts and talk to them with the phone closed.
Can someone help me out and let me know if she told me the truth.
Also if she lied to me is it worth my money to take it back and get the lg6100 or not

Ok v fans i need some input on this. I just got my 4700 on Tues of this week and it works great. The ptt is on point, FINALLY but it does take some time to get used to especially cause its new but i got the hang of it. But i have noticed is that the bars on the phone jump up and down alot, i don't lose signal or anything but its something that i ain't used to seeing being a verizon customer thats a nextel thing. Maybe i am being a little to worried and paranoid cause i have been paying extra attention to the phone with ptt and all and the phones features but i was just wondering if maybe its my phone in particular or is it the 4700 model itself is why cause the the other ptt phones don't interest me at all...😲 😳 😕...Let me know fans if ...

I was wondering if you could you use the push to talk service outside of the verizon region to contact nextel users or boost mobile users??? And also is it possible to use the PTT without having a plan with the PTT on it??

Ok everyone please let us all know how the ptt works. Do u have to wait for it to connect like last time or does it work like nextel and performance wise like nextel, does it have that same stuff like the v60p where it had to be in contact with that buddy list nonsense and u miss calls goin right to voice mail, cause i remember those days, etc... Reviews please!!!!!

😁 Ok every one the phone is in. I saw it in person today and its coming out for sure on Monday 2-21-05. My rep told me to wait at least a month just in case any quirk's come up so when i find out whats the deal i will let u all know. Hope verizon got it right this time cause my rep told me that if it ain't right this time they are doing away with it entirely no third tries on this one.

anyone know what the cost will be for this phone for a person who is in a current contract and wants to buy this phone out right. I have the v60p now an things are much better with the PTT but I would like to get this phone.

Just talked to a vzw rep. She said she know on the new north american plan which are more money because its US, Can, and mexico it will be $10 extra for any line that wants PTT. And there are family plans so some of the family can have the PTT and some dont. She told me from what she hears that its really good and they fixed all the problem out. Also shes heard that the $10 will mostlikely be for the americas choice plans which will be great. the 4 phones that will be be coming out are

t300p did have a rebate till the other day when they took it away

I know everybody is sick of hearing this. The new launch date is suppose to be January of after January.

Judging from the photos here on Phonescoop, it seems that the LCD from the 4700 will be a smaller size than the 4500/4600/6100 series?

about a week ago i went into get service on phone at verizon, and while i was waiting i noticed that one of the service guys had this phone on his belt clip, just thought i'd put that in here and see if anyone else has seen one

It's about time... If they ever release this one, it'll really put the VZ PTT on the map...

If you look at the pictues on the FCC website the last revision of the phone has Alltel logos. So I'm assuming pretty soon with Alltel.

Look for FCC under Specs on the main page of this phone and then click the number to the right of FCC.
