V265 Picture Caller ID.

Just got my phone today and in the back of the box it states:
Get pix: Style it! Add sound and text to your favorite shots, turn them into wallpaper or "Set up caller id to see a picture of who's calling".
I have tried looking everywhere in the phone for this option and its not there.
Im signed up with Verizon so I'd thought maybe its a "Get It now!" feature so I went to the website and spent a while looking for something similar but no luch.
Anybody has any ideas why it would state in the box if not available?

Btw, the no date issue on the home page of the phone is totally lame!

I agree with you on all points. I'd also like to know how to put up a pic for caller id.

I believe you'll need to do this: Contacts>Edit>Picture. The picture must a picture on the phone, i.e., a pic from the Media Gallery, either a stock pic or one taken with the phone's camera.

Hmm. This is how it works on the v810 and I figured it was the identical interface. I'll work on it.

The v810 is available for sale on US Cellular. Verizon was thisclose to carrying it and I have one of the test phones.

This phone does not have a color outside screen, so there is no picture caller id. Apparently some of the earlier boxes had claims of picture caller ID as well as a flash for the camera. Neither of these are present. But the box I have in from of me now seems to have been corrected.
