V265 battery problem or is it really corrosion
I took my 3 month old V265 to the Verizon store because after any length of charging, the phone showed a low battery.
Initially the Verizon tech said, "I have seen this happen and it just takes a software update. Leave the phone and it will take about an hour."
When I returned he said, "I found corrosion on the accessory port and that invalidates the warranty. However, I will replace it for a $50 fee and you will also have to purchase insurance for $4.99 a month"
I told him I did not want to buy insurance and so he just handed the phone back to me without saying anything else. I guess I am not that quick thinking in these kind of situations, so I just left. I should probably have asked to see the...

It takes quite a bit for the white dot to turn red. Like the phone has to be submerged in water... walking through a parking lot in the rain isn't going to do it.
