LG L1400 / C1400

I'm currently looking for a new phone and I don't know which one to choose: LG L1400 or the Motorola V551. Have any suggestions?

Is there anyone out there who can tell me which is a better phone, the LG L1400 or Motorola V180
I have looked at the User reviews and both seem to be rated the same. I like the LG L1400 BUT...when i went to the cingular site to check out their ring tones, the LG L1400 doesn't seem to download much of the song compared to the V180. That is somewhat disappointing to me enough to pick the Motorola over the LG L1400. Am I right?? does the Motorola download much more of a song than LG L1400 and why?? I suspect because of the camera.

Is there a way to permanently deactivate the "shot" button on the right side of the phone?

I plan to give this phone to an elderly family member and I know she will get confused when the phone goes into camera mode.

Hi there. I am planning to get a new phone soon because my Motorola v60 is kinda breaking down on me (I had it for almost 2 and a half years). I am currently under Verizon Wireless and might be switching to Cingular because Verizon does not have a good selection of phones. The two Cingular phones I am choosing between is the Samsung e317 and the LG 1400... which one is better??

I am focusing on reception (will be used mostly in the New York region), display, camera, and ringtone. It is in order of importance.

Im gonan get the LG L1400 for Christmas and like yea...I wanted to get some helpful stuff about this phone like what are the possiteves and negatives and stuff.. Cause im paying $240.00 for this phone! Everyone else got it for $30.00!!! Maybe cause I live in Orange County but w.e! So yea...u can e-mail me or like reply are something! LaterR!!! 😁 😎

I'm having real problems with headset volume on my L1400 phone. Has anybody found a headset with decent volume that works with this phone? Has anyone tried one of the little battery powered inline amplifiers that plugs in between phone and headset? Do they work or are they cr*p?

how do u change the wallpaper on the outside? and is there ne way to change the cingular scrolling thing that comes up after u close ur fone... also can u change the banner that says cingular? sry i know other ppl have asked these questions but i'm curious 🤭

It seems that a picture, displayed on the outside screen, is yellower in color than the exact same picture on the inside screen, which looks exactly like the object I took a picture of. Anyone else have this problem, or is it a defect in my phone? I have adjusted the white balance, and the picture inside looks fine, but I have the same problem with the outside screen. Thanks!

i might get an LG L1400 and i was wondering how good it was compared to other phones in this price range and i was wondering if Lets Talk is a trusted place to order from

It is possible to do a Silent Mode on this phone ? I only see settings for Ring only, & vibrate & ring modes, but no silent setting.
Or does a silent Ringtone exist that could be used ?

Has anyone had a problem useing a headset with the l1400?

hi, the customer service rep at cingular told me i could take pictures with the phone closed. it also says this in the product features on the LG web site, but i read the whole manual and cannot find it anywhere. any help will be appreciated, thanx! 🙄

Hey everyone, wondering if you could help.
I just got the LG L1400 a week or so ago and recently took a picture and set it as my Main Wallpaper. I then changed my mind and and deleted said picture, without changing it from being the wallpaper. When I tried to go in and set a new wallpaper, I found that my gallery couldn't load properly, resulting in the thumbnail display of my photo ID pics until it reached one of the "general pictures" at which point the screen came up with a yellow caution sign, saying Error Decoding beneath it.
I can access my photo ID pics no problem through its specific submenu, and trying to Delete All through other photos doesn't fix anything, it still just has the Error Decoding message when I try to bring up any n...

I just purchased the LG L1400. I also purchased DataPilot and a USB cable. Cannot get the PC to recognize the phone. I linked up with the infrared on my laptop. The will communicate but laptop cannot download files from the phone. Anybody know what I am doing wrong. The owners manual and the LG website are very vague on this subject.

I know the specs page indicate that the phone works in Europe (1800 Mhz). But the Cingular site make no reference to this. Hence I was skeptical of it's capabilities.

However, I'm happy to report. That this phone worked flawlessly in Europe. I only had a chance to test in the UK and Germany. But I have no reason to believe I would have any troubles in the rest of Europe. Much like my Nokia 6100 tri-band phone. The only caveat being that you have to manually switch the bands. The Nokia does this automatically....oh well

I kinda wish the 1400 was tri-band as well. But I 've still got the 6100 for that. Besides, I spend alot more time in Europe than Asia.

Now all I gotta do is figure out how to unlock this thing so I can use ...

😕 has anyone figured out how to delete the factory wallpapers so I can make room for more pix?

👿 Trying to make my own ringtones in the mps format and this phone doesn't seem to want to cooperate. i paid $10 bux for a ringtone site where i can upload ringtones to my phone. When my phone gets the link to download the ringtone it doesn't download the mp3. I sent a mmf file to my phone through mms and it wasn't recognized. I can send mp3's through mms and play them but then i can only save them in the audio folder which can't be used 4 ringtones. feel like i wasted 10 bux

Did anybody try to change wallpaper on an outer display? When I select Display->Wallpaper->SubDisplay the phone doesn't show downloaded files, only those that came with the phone and pictures taken by the phone camera. At the same time I have no problems with the main display. Any suggestions?

Does anyone know how to make the voice record memo a ringtone? it shows up on the ringtones/audio menu in my media but doesnt give you the option of setting it as ringtone. Id really appreciate if anyone can tell me how to do this. Thank you

I was told you can only store up to 10 picture IDs on this phone. The rep told me this is in high resolution mode. You could probably fit more in a lower resolution.

When I was messing around with this in the Cingular Store taking pictures it sure did fill up the memory real quick.

Has anyone lowered the resolution to fit more caller ID pics? If so how many pics can you fit on the phone with lower resolution?
