LG L1400 / C1400

😳 Has anyone had any luck with using one of these as a IR port. I heard some usb based ones aren't compatable with all phones? Would the regular IRDA that connects to the motherboard be better suited?

is there any way to change it instead of saying cingular? and does anyone have any good ideas of not scratching the front without a holster?

Is the L1400 manual available online for download? I searched the LG site and Cingular but could not find any link. Any info would be much appreciated.

I just got the phone a few days ago and noticed that when a voice mail is received it beeps only once and that's it. When the phone is closed nothing tells you you have a message or a missed call. Does anybody know if there is a setting to make beep once in a while when a message is waiting?

I need to send faxes with my LG L1400.

As far as I know I can use the infrared port on the phone and I have to buy an USB infrared adapter for the computer.

Are there any compatibility issues with that? I mean is there a specific type of USB adapter that I should use ? (there is more than one type - IrDA 1.1 , IrDA 1.3 etc)

Also do I need a software for that ? If yes where can I download it from?

i used xingtone to download a mp3 ringtone to the phone but it will not let me used file as a ringtone. could anyone help me with this.

Well I just ordered this phone, chose it over the V400, though it was a close call for me I must say. Well, I haven't heard the ringtones on it yet, but I've heard people mention "lack of good ringtones" as a con. THE ONLY way that something as trivial as ringtones could piss me off would be if they didn't have ANY NORMAL RINGTONES built in, as is the case with my current nokia 3595. This phone came with at least 25 pre-set ringtones..... BUT NONE OF THEM were a "normal" ring!!! I had jazz, "beach", car chase or something, and a bunch of other odd/freaky/trendy tones that I would never use. I've realized that this is the case more and more nowadays. Have phone designers just stopped including a normal ringtone and focus on providing customer...

does anyone know if there is a way to pull pics from the LG L1400 over IR?

My friend told me that you can preview Cingulars ringtones before u buy them. Ive tried with a moto, a samsung, and with a nokia but it didnt work. i wanted to know if it will work with an LG.

I don't know if you can do it because I haven't been able to figure it out but is there any way to make your external display stay on without running the Cingular screensaver. I hate having to push a button everytime I want to see my clock. Of course this is probably something easy to do and I am just being illiterate, but thanks in advance for an help!

I'm going to be sharing a line under the add a second line for 9.99 deal with cingular, because of this I don't want a two year deal, the websites only offer two year deals, I'd go to my local store but I've been busy, does anyone know how much the phone costs without all the deals, just the phone.

I heard that you cannot change the wallpaper for ext LCD on the E317, can you do it on this phone? Also does this phone have better memory than the l1200. Right now i have a v400 which is good but it has a lot of problems.

I was taking pictures on my phone at the smallest resolution and after a while i got a decoding error. Now If I go to look at the pictures I get a decoding error. Now, I can see the 4 pictures that can not be deleted from the phone(who uses those?) but when i'm in camera mode and click on gallery and ....hold the phone just talked to the LG guy and he said it is most likey a sim card problem. Well I'm off to the cingular store. Why does the phone save pictures to the sim card. do they all do that?

hi all, I'm thinking of buying the 1400, but have a question ... when sending a pic over MMS, do you have to enter the full email address of the recipient or can you pull it out of the address book ?! (I'm assuming we can store emails in the address book, right ?!)

Having to enter the full address every time would kill it ...

how good is the camera on the lg l400 and how does it compare to the v220 and v400.?

is there anyway to turn a voice memo, say a record section of a song, and make it your ringtone?

On the phone she said I should have it by thursday. I hope it is better than the v220. Any info on the phone would be great.

Can Someone post a picture they took with the 1400. I am very interested on seeing what the quality is.

If anyone gets this phone, please let us know if you can sync it with outlook contacts AND calendar!
