Motorola V620

First of all I love this phone. It's perfect in almost every way. But there are a few things I'm having trouble with. The roam indictator is on. I went to Cingular and the guy said not to worry about it but I still want to turn it off. Another thing is that the language settings are set for the UK. I know this is a European phone but I don't like how everything is spelled differently(personalise, centre, etc.) And finally I can't get MMS to work right. I get the messages but it's just the heading with a weird symbol. I tried all the settings from a previous post but it doesn't seem to be working. Thanks in advance to anyone that helps. BTW I have Cingular.

a week ago i bought this phone!
its excellent in all operation except the bluetooth! in this operation i have the following problems!
if anyone can help me it will be much appreciated.
1.when i am connected i cant find other people who are connected to! they can only find me.
2.i cant send images or anything else via bluetooth to any other phones.
3.when someone send me via bluetooth a picture i get the half of it and after anything is aboarded.

First question, I know that you have to download a few settings in order for this phone to work properly and I was just wondering what I need to get and where to get it. I want to be ready for when I receive the phone so I can start using it right away.

Second question, is it true that the manual for this phone is in Chinese?

Third question, can blue tooth work through infrared?

Forth question, does this phone need a specific adapter for the USB port?

I just purchased this phone from ebay but the manuals are in chinese. Does anyone know where i can get an english manual from? Thanks in advance.

I just recieved my v600i and i noticed under messages that my QUICK NOTES are in chinese. I changed the language on the phone to english but it did not work. Am i missing out on information or something or does the QUICK NOTES not really matter. I hope im making sense. Thankyou.

Im not sure if anyone else is having this problem but when my bluetooth is on i cant connect with another phone does anyone know how to fix this ! Thank you in advance ! 🙂

Hi i recently got my Motorola V620 and couldn't believe what a wonderful phone it is! Although i couldn't wait to get a USB data cable to transfer files from my PC onto my phone but i dont know where the usb port is and if have to buy a proper data cable for that specific model??? If anyone cud help me id be most grateful.

I am a Cingular customer and just purchased the v620. The only weird thing is I show that At&t wireless is the available network and I have a roam indicator on my screen. My reception and call quality are fine, but I wondered how I would get my phone to say Cingular and eliminate the roam indicator. Thanks for your help--helpless in Colorado.

I'm thinkin about purchasing the motorola v620 phone and I currently have service with t-mobile and I've been hearing stories about how different things don't work with different people and I just wanted to know if anyone who has t-mobile has this phone and if they would recommend this phone as one that works with minimal problems.

where can i buy this phone?!

I've had my V620 since the beginning of April. I've had no problems until now. My voicemail. I'm on Cingular GSM network. On Saturday April 16th, I tried to check my voicemail and I got a busy tone. I don't know why. Friday I checked my voicemail but on saturday it was busy. My sister has a V180 so I switched sim cards and put my card in her V180 and it allowed me to access my voicemail. I thought maybe it was the service but it's the phone! So if anyone can help me out and show me how to check my voicemail with my V620 that would be great. It worked before but now when I call I get a busy signal. Thanks

Who is the carrier for this phone. Many people have it but it is not ofered so im confused.

Here's an odd question. I have a ring light style set (techno) and have event lights on. If I turn OFF the flip open to answer feature under answering options, when I get a call, the inside screen flashes like crazy. It's impossible to tell who's calling and if you have a picture ID associated with the caller, you may get a seizure trying to focus on the picture with all the flashing.

I want to keep the ring lights on the outside shell on but I want to turn off the flashing on the inside when I flip the phone open.

Am I making sense? Any ideas.

Also, is there a way to automatically have the phone set to vibrate when I put it to charge or does it have to default to Loud. That's terribly annoying.

please someone help! i got the motorola v620 sim free from a internet phone shop. i placed my old orange sim card into it. i have set up the gprs and is working in full order however i cannot get the MMS to work no matter how hard i try!!!!! i downloaded updates but they don't work! i now cannot remove a grps provider and they are al full 😈 it's doing me head in can anyone help? also i bought a new sim card on o2 thinking the mms and gprs will work on that but isn't working! can someone please help me to set up the mms and gprs on o2.

I have searched this and a few other forums and found nothing. I am sure it's out there somewhere but so far no luck.

Yes, I could call Cingular but they typically don't have anything for phones not yet released. I often get the not sure let's try another model response which is haphazard.

Help, i recently bought a motorola V620 it is a brilliant phone i think, there is only 1 problem, when i record video's i can hardly hear the sound. Is there anyway i can fix this ?

☹️ I have a V620 that i can access the INTERNET with my phone but not on my computer with the data cable, well not totally because i can access my phone book on my computer but every time i click the INTERNET globe i get an error msg:the modem (or other connecting device) has reported an error. The GPRS network connection could not be established , make sure the GPRS network is accessible and that you have subscribed to the GPRS option. Has anyone else had this problem?? Please help
