I'd like a Treo 650 but I am with T-Mobile
Can I buy a Cingular Treo 650, unlock it and use it with T-Mobile? I heard that the treo 650 unlocked don't work as well as the locked. Is it true?

yes, this is what i did. i was first a cingular customer. towards the end of my contract i bought a cingular treo 650 from palm - without the service. i then called cingular's tech support and told them i was travelling to another country and i needed to use a local sim card. the tech asked for my IMEI and i was given a code to unlock the phone. after my contract was done, i switched to t-mobile
