Nokia 6101 / 6102

You know how you guys said that there was a program you could download and make your MP3 ringtone then put it in the nokia 6101/02, and that tere was also a way to get your phone on the computer and delete stuff you didnt need to make more room for pictures and stuff? WWeell How exactly do I go about connecting my phone to my computer and getting this program to run etc. the only thing that came with this phone was its charger. Thanks.

i have a v551 is the camera better on the nokia then my motorola. please let me know if i dont get this phone then i want the razr...and i know that cingular will be getting the ringback tones in OCT but what part i didnt see that in the past messages.

If anyone is interested in a brand new (i used it maybe 3x's) Unlocked Rodgers Nokia 6101; please let me know. I stopped using the 6101 and bought the Nokia 6102 from Cingular (great phone but waiting for bluetooth) so I took that back to the store and my sister's boyfriend gave me a brand new Moto V400 that he never used for free until new models come out with updated software.

I was able to migrate from ATT/Cingular and keep my number, with the 6102 phone free - instant savings, no rebate. I think the offer is good thru October 1st. They were also giving out rain checks once they had sold out and would honor the same price.

I went to check out the phone in person and one Best Buy here in the sacramento area did not have it, but another did. They have this as their free phone with a 2 year contract. Looks like a great phone, I am planning to go back tonite to buy it.

I finally got this phone on Tuesday after waiting soooo long for it. I got it thru Cingular 1866 #. I must say that its a alright phone EXCEPT for the volume. I say that it can be much louder. You can barely head the person your talking to. And I don't like that at all. And the speakerphone is not that loud.

And far as PTT goes I did not see anything that links to that on this phone at all. Not even in the manual. I ask a Cing rep and they did say that the feature will be coming to Cingular in October, BUT it will not be available on this phone. So we got gagged on that part of this.

If anyone really wants PTT, they will be bringing out three new phones that offer it. A LG F7200 and samsung D357. I don't know what the oth...

I'm thinking of purchasing a Nokia 6102 to use with my Cingular GoPhone account. I would like to know if anyone is using this phone as a GoPhone and if all features are working properly (i.e. text, multimedia messaging, MEdia Net, etc.)

I just got my 6102 on Friday & i've been tinkering all weekend. But, I have yet to find out about or use the Push-To-Talk feature....can anyone enlighten me on how I accomplish this. Thanks in advance.

For both phones how does NIGHTMODE work on the phone when taking pics in the dark? And what does software customizations mean for the 6102? Anybody?

Does this phone have a backlight timer that can be set to shut off after "x" number of seconds/minutes? Also, is there a way to set the phone up so that after i close it, it automatically opens up to my home screen? I notice it opens up to the last screen that I viewed and I have to back out of everything to get to the home screen. Sorry for the questions....it's my first Nokia. 🙂

So I finally bought the 6102 from Cingular yesterday, and I really wanted the white Nokia, but I guess 6102's only come in black? Or maybe only Cingular carries the black ones? What is it?

I just got the nokia 6101 and I cant seem to get my themes to change right..... I have it changed in the front screen and as the wallpaper however when I scoll to see my phone numbers it doesnt come up.....CAN ANYONE HELP??

Got the phone yesterday - still not sure what I think about it overall - but one thing I can't figure out is how to email from the phone. On my Motorola I could type a text message and then instead of typing in a phone number to send it, I could type in an email address. It was also handy for emailing pics I had taken.

On this 6101, in the "SEND TO" box, I only have the option of typing in a phone number....yet I have read somewhere that you could email from this phone - am I just missing it?

Best Buy now has the 6102 in their ad in Dallas. It's for 249.99 (free w/ 2 year contract). I saw some posts about the 6101/2 having different keypads, but I hadn't seen any pics until I saw the ad. I wish the 6102 would have used the 6101's keypad. The keys on the 6102 look too small and look like they'd be harder to use.

This is one of the main reasons I was looking to get this phone b/c the z500's keys are so annoyingly pressed up against the phone. It's a text messaging nightmare. Might just wait for the z520.

The 6102 is finaly on the site (at least in Texas)!!! I'm ordering mine today.

i want to get this phone with a contract extension...letstalk was offering it for $50 with this extension last week but now they aren't offering the phone period, does anyone know of a website i can find a similar offer at?

Is anyone familiar with i-wireless.com? They have the 6102 for $150 no contract. That seems like a good deal to me. I really don't want to obligate myself to signing a new contract because I think the ‘Formally AT&T Wireless’ plan I’m on is better than anything out there. What do you think?
