Samsung SCH-A970

😢 I'm in a pickle, I currently use sprint service and have a Sanyo MM-5600 and LOVE 🙂 it, I use the media player to download movies and shows and pictures onto my phone(Its great!) 😁 BUT.....I like the A970's design with the four buttons on the outside instead of three and the black part on the outer screen and the inside button alighnment design.....BUT 😳 .....Some people say and I believe myself that Verizon's version will be crippled and you have to use there service features to make other features of the phone work(Boo-hoo) 😢 .... BUT I know for a fact that sprint doesn't mess with there phones or cripple them.....BUT.....the sprint version is so ugly. Maybe its just my opinion on how a phone looks but its a big plus if it lo...

Is the front LCD full color with graphics and stuff. None of the pictures are clear about that.

Any idea which bluetooth profiles will be supported on this phone? I know the 8100 just support headset and handsfree, and possibly DUN. And the new E815 supports even less.

🙂 According to a Verizon Sales Rep. If there are no huge problems(ie. softwre malfunctions) this phone should be released by Verizon in one to two month

😁 I found FCC Photos of the sprint Samsung A940 🙂 It shows internal photos and external photos and a bunch of information! 😉 KUNG POW BAM! 🙄 When you click the get to the website you will see a list, just click on the mail thingy next to each row to view each portion about the A940! 😳

I'm an agent for vzw and we already have rebate pads for this phone so it should be out before the end of summer look for the phone to be high tier my guess will be 250.00 with a year and a 50 rebate

I was reading through the user manual for the A940. Under the heading "Call History" It shows the last 10 numbers dialed, received, and missed. WTF Samsung!!!!! Most of the phones shows the last 20 entries. Does anyone agree with me that its considered a CON ??????????

I am trying to decide weather to get the LG VX 8100 now or wait and get the a970. Can annyone help. also does anyone know a deffinate release date?

This phone looks amazing, i've been reading up on it for a while now. I was thinking about getting the LG 8100 but would wait for this phone(i prefer samsungs). I was wondering if anyone has heard of a release date and what kind of pricing even tentatively?? The LG seems to be pretty decently priced around 150$

Those that know me know that I am bound to say:

Dude, what is up with the tiny weak screen. 1.9" 176x220? For a phone with a 2MP camera and EV-DO? Lame City. That bad boy needs a 2.2" QVGA - I mean, the thing is ALL plastic border.

Verizon's thinking for their new phones definitely seems to be "bigger is better". All of their V-Cast phones are monsters. This is just another big, silver flip phone to add to the list.

Remember a couple years ago when Verizon had the v60i, the a530, and were supposed to get the Motorola v810? What ever happened to compact, stylish, functional phones? I know Verizon is hoping to make a boatload of money charging $15/month for V-Cast, but I think there is still a big market for the smaller, full-function phone. The only one they really have now is the a670, and my friend just told me that they are discontinuing it in favor of V-Cast enabled phones. If this trend continues, it may be time to switch providers!
