Samsung SCH-A970

I know that all of the videos recorded on the phone are in the 3G2 format... and I've gone so far as to purchase the "ImTOO 3GP" video converter so I can convert the phone files into windows media player Mpeg formats and watch them on my computer. But when I try to convert the files it fails everytime and I have no idea why. Can someone please give me a step-by-step way to convert the phone video formats into PC friendly formats?

I just went to the Verizon Store and they said that the new V Cast Music service will NOT be available for the 970! This sucks cause I initially HAD the 950 but I took it back to get the BETTER 970, but now I wish I hadn't!!! Can anyone confirm the theory that the 970 will not get the V Cast Musice service?

I TRIED EVERYTHING. I DOWNLOADED THE PROGRAMS AND SWITCH THE MP3 TO WAV. FILE, BUT IT'S NOT WORKING.

Does anybody know hte preferred camera settings for the 970? I have the 970 now and can honestly say that the camera defaults suck! I have seen beautiful pictures but these are awful, they are about the same as the 8100.

I'm trying to hook up my SCH-A970 to 2006 BMW. I can call out partially and incoming calls doesn't work. I called dealer, they said to get BMW approved BT phones. (mostly Moto/Nokia)
If anyone knows how to hook-up fully, send me a note. 🙂

I know this was discussed briefly a couple of months back, but there has to be some more experience out there now.

I've read all I can find on the internet,a nd visited manufacturers sites for Sonorix/Logitech/Motorola/HP/Bluetake...and none of them are clear in any way about supporting MP3 playback on their headphones. Most say they support A2DP, but are totally unclear as to normal headset protocol support.

I've also contacted Samsung, and was told in a very terse tone that Sammy does not make Bluetooth headphones, as such does not support them or comment on compatibility, and has no plans to support A2DP.

I really don't know if this matters to anyone, but the usb cable that I bought for my old a530 worked with my a670, and does work with my a970.

I've just seen a lot of talk about ordering new ones. I've got mp3 tones working fine with the same ol cable.

When I turn the screen to activate the camera, it always gives me the image upside down. Its like it always thinks I am trying to take a self portrait.

Is this a setting or is something wrong with my phone?

Has anyone firgured out how to transfer a mp3 via Bitpim and make it usable for a txt alert. When I transfer it to the phone I can set it as a ringtone but not as a txt alert or any other alert at that 😕

Has anyone copied video off the phone and on to
a PC want to be able to copy the video and convert it then put on DVD.

Does any one know if you can turn the keypad on all the time. Did not find the option in the backlight menu. This new VW UI is really bad.

Ok, I just upgraded to the poorly assembled RAZR V3c and just like the 970, I'm going to return it for a full refund. Here's the things though, I spoke to a VW technician and she told me to wait at least 4-5 months after a phone's release before buying it. She said by then, the stores should have received their second batch of the phone and the kinks discovered the first time should be worked out.

So in a month or two, I will upgrade to the 970 again.

I know that on my 8100, I could check the card memory by going into the system option under tools and settings. Is there any way to do it on the Sammy a970???

i got the 512 and the SD mobile mate reader..and when i go to add songs it says PARAMETER IS NOT CORRECT...please help me...ive been trying different things for a month now...thanks 🙂 🙂

Has anybody been able to successfully add any video through the Filesystem tab in Bitpim? I can add any mp3 as a ringtone through that method but when I try to add a video it does not work. I found the section in the phone where the videos are kept but whenever I add a video clip it shows added but gets deleted within seconds. Power cycling the phone does not work since it also deletes the file. I am trying to transfer a 20mb video file from my memory card but the phone takes a very long time and powercycles itself after a few minutes hanging on "moving". Any help with this will be highly appretiated. Thanks in advance.

Well here it what happend I was using Bitpim as I normally would. But this time I decide to delete the songs from the Bitpim program rather then using the phone and simply hit erase. Now my phone shows the file as still being there but nothing plays. If I try to delete it in the phone it says it was deleted but it still shows up in files. I was wondering if there is a way to reset the whole phone since I have my numbers saved somewhere else.
