Samsung SCH-A970

Does anyone have an idea when this phone's price will drop?

Was just on the sprint website and they list the a940 (which is the same as the a970) as having 10x digital zoom in addition to the 2x optical. Sprint is also including the memory card in the price. I feel like I was robbed by Verizon.

Hey I've been having trouble getting access to videos on my card. Let's say I have two 3gp video files each about 15-20 megs each. I go to My Flix then to Card, the phone kind of locks up (or very intensive processing) and sometime's it will powercycle or sometime after a very long time, it will actually get into the folder with the videos on it. However, I've only been successful once. Anyone kno the secrets to having a few videos on your phone to watch? Or am I just stuck to having only one video file on the card at a time.

Well, I officially couldn't take the phone as of yesterday. I returned it and had my old phone reactivated. Obviously you guys aren't having the same issues I was having. I don't think the phone is nearly as user friendly as my current phone (LG VX 8000) or maybe I'm just used to the current one. Either way, I was sad to let the Samsung go. I think it's much more attractive than the 8000. I don't know if I'll ever purchase another Samsung though. I heard Samsung was a good company, but I couldn't tell through using the 970. Anyway, enjoy your phone! I'm sure it's awesome when all the features work as they were intended.

I'm still going to check the forums for this phone. What can I say, it's hard letting go sometimes (lol).

How long is the viedo capture on this phone?

ok i've downloaded my mp3s no problem...can i download music videos to the card to?? or actually can i plya the downloaded music videos on my phone...i can see them on my card when its hooked to my comp..but when i put teh card in my phone and go to my flix..its says there is none..do i need to save them different or is this even possible? 🙄

OK, I am trying to set a special ring for a friend. I thought this would be easy. I hit edit contact and then chose the ring I wanted under ringtone, but it still comes up as the default ring. What's going on?

Hi.My photos are blurry and dull when I print them out. I took the same photos with a 1.3 megapixel phone and they came out sharper and clearer. To all those who say great pics...are they great even when you print them? Is anyone else experiencing this problem?

I just bought Verizon's Samsung 970 yesterday. Everytime I conduct a test with camcorder lens toward me, I notice that my lips always move before I hear the sound come out of my mouth. It's like watching an old Chinese movie. Does anyone else have this problem? I've already swapped the phone out so I have another new one. Both 970s have done the same thing. I'm so disappointed, I've waited since June for this phone's release. HELP!!!!

if all i'm using the card for is to transfer a 5 minute video,do I really need that much memory?.....or is there some other use that I'm missing?....(transfer videos from tv,etc..)

Can anything be done about the delay when snapping a photo? I have tried every setting. When I push the button, the camera does not snap the picture for 4 seconds and I never get an accurate picture unless the subject is completely still.

Just recently purch the phn a few days ago and found something really odd on the phone when ever you put a magnet near the top of the phn the display lights up as if you were checking the time---realized this from the case i bought for the phn everytime i used it my battery was dead within 7 hrs --just to give a heads up before anyone loses out on money like i did with a case

Anyone having trouble with mp3 quiality on this phone? I'm getting weird glitchy noises in them. I know they are good on the transflash because if i put in in my pda and play them, they are perfect.

When the phone makes the MP3 folder on the card can we add another folder in that so we can make special song lists? Country, Rock, Booty...etc?

Like a song list for certian moods. Got the 512mg card in there and want to stuff it full of my goods. 😁

I have the Samsung 970 and don't like it. To clumsy, bulky, no correct case for it, expensive. I like the 8100 or 950, any comments on wich one to get? Aso does anyone know the real deal on being able to use a V-Cast phone as a modem, i was told that no V cast phone can be used as a modem to connect laptop. Any way around this?
