Kyocera Slider Remix KX5 / Slider Sonic
Press release says...
just read a press release from Kyocera today, and they are now saying it should be released to CDMA networks in November of 2005. Virgin has already released it on their network as of today, running for $250. i'm pretty sure verizon will grab it up because of its many new functions, and to replace the old slider
Any ideas on when this phone is available for Verizon?
I see its up for a few other carriers. Could I somehow buy it from them, and activate it through Verizon?

Any news anywhere?
Just wondering if anyone had any news on a release date, or a verizon release date, or any info about the slider remix? I was using the SE47 Slider but dropped it in the pool over the weekend, so I'm pretty anxious to get the slider remix.

Amp'd Mobile
This phone is going to be coming out with Amp'd mobile sometime later on this year when Amp'd starts up its service. I was reading in a story on line that Amp'd will have phones in the range of $99-$200. If that is so than the Kyocera Slider Remix (Jet) will be sold at a cheap price for prepaid. If Amp'd comes to my town then I will most likely go with them.

Cellular South - Got it today
Well first impression was not good. The casing seems to be well "cheap". The quality of the camera & video were good, and the joystick is cool, but $39.99 in store and $29.99 on the kyocera website. At $199.99 for the phone, I didn't take the plunge, but will take another look at it soon. Comes with belt clip and usb cord.
Is Verizon really going to carry this phone?
I absolutely love this phone...it has everything I want, music, speakerphone, not a flip phone, and a camera!! plus it looks so COOL! But is Verizon going to carry it? When is it going to be released? I know its going to be released in the 3rd quarter of this year, but does anyone know a more definite date? 😁

Bluetooth?
I am really hyped about this phone!!! But does it support Bluetooth or V-Cast? 😕 I probably read over it accidently. Anywayz, if it comes to Verizon I am getting it regardless 😁

Will this phone support MP3 ringtones?
You would think so since it supports MP3's, but the specs only show polyphonic ringtones. Maybe I'm not understanding polyphonic ringtones (actually, that a real good posibility 😁 ), but I thought that only allowed for the midi ringtones. Any thoughts, or clarification?

since all of the kyocera phones for verizon start with a kx, there is a good chance that it will eventually come out for verizon 😁 . just my 2 cents...

So excited about this phone. lol, I'm such a loser. But when they first came out with the Slider, I was like wow I would LOVE that phone if it had a camera and music ringtones and all that jazz. And well, my little wish came trueeee!

Alltel to carry Slider Remix ??
As a very happy owner of Alltel's Slider SE44, I truly hope that they will carry the new Slider Remix as well. This Slider has been a great phone for me, and I would love the MP3 and camera functionality of the new one.

read this..
went out last night and was skipping through the july 2005 issue of PC World and saw an article on the lg vx8100, remix kx5, and 2 other nokias, well it said that the Remix KX5 will be released the end of August, they found this out in a recent meeting they were in..just letting u know
