Motorola V190
Multimedia Support
Just in case anyone is wondering, this phone has fairly good multimedia support. If you have Motorola's Phone Tools 4.0, you should be able to connect the phone to your computer via a 4-pin to 6-pin USB cable. Note that if you have Motorola's Phone Tools 3.0, you should be able to connect to the phone by identifying it as a V180. If you have the 4.0 version of the software, it will recognize it as the V190.
Anyway, if you have that software, you can import MP3's, snip them up (if you want to, you don't have to), and transfer them to the phone. You can then use them as ringtones. You can transfer the full song as well. I figure you can fit probably 10-15 full songs on the phone. The speaker quality is ok; I haven't tried it with headphones...

Oh, and just as an addendum....what doesn't this phone have flash memory support?! How cool would that be? How much is a 1GB SD card nowadays (/me checks Newegg)....ok, you can get a 1GB SD card for $19.99. So for an extra 20 bucks, this phone could have been a multimedia killer. Additionally, if the phone tools allowed you to rotate the video, you could turn the phone on the side, and have a pretty good-size (for a flip phone) screen for video, and about (adjusting for the new resolution of the video) 15 hours-worth of video. It would have been that simple!
Oh well, maybe that is why the phone is so cheap. Gotta give some incentive to pay for the next level. 🙂
