WMP 11 Is Now Taking 4 Hours To COnvert and Sync Video...?!
JINXDec 21, 2006, 7:17 PM
Okay, so I've been putting movies on my 6700 since the day I got it. It's always worked fine with WMP11 or whatever... All of a sudden, it doesn't show my phone in the 'Device' picture anymore. It's reading the storage card, though...
Anyway, it's always taken about an hour to synce a 2-hour movie to my 6700. For the last week (since it started showing a differant pic for my device) when I try to sync a movie I'll start it, and when I get back like 2 hours later, it will only be like 30% done. Also, it doesn't even show the sync process the way it used to.
Anyone have any ideas. I mean, I bought this phone just so that I could watch movies on it!

...in fact, at this point it's not even reading my storage card. I thought that it may have come loose, but it didn't. File Explorer is still showing my Storage Card...

Sounds like your problem is with ActiveSync and not your 6700. I have Pocket DVD Wizard and it works wonderful. I have no problems and I have 5 DVD's on my 1GB card plus a bunch of pics, mp3's and other stuff (apps, today screens and much more). Pocket DVD Wizard compresses the files to WMV files and they don't need conversion. It takes under 5 minutes to put on the device.

Hey, I appreciate the advice....but I'm sort of a fan of the free programs. People call me cheap, but it's whatever. Anyway, I downgraded my WMP and now it works perfectly.

I am a big fan of free stuff too. However, some stuff I just had to suck it up and pay. If you want a good program, sometimes you have no choice but to "show them the money". I have paid for the back-up software, Pocket DVD Wizard, and MemMaid. Other than that everything else is free that I have. Right now I'm eyeing iLauncher....The free programs like it just haven't cut it. I talked to someone that has iLauncher and they said that it is well worth it.

My problem with this is...it was working perfectly which means I probably just need an update or something like that...idk. I guess nobody else has this problem...
