Nextel iDen .vs GSM and CDMA

Currently using nextel(iDen technology)in Connecticut and looking to switch. Is this 700 on CDMA better than any other smart phone using GSM? Which technology is better? Thanks to those who know for sharing.

If you are using a PDA (and you actually NEED to have it) then data/internet service is a must.

Verizons EVDO network (which is CDMA) will provide superior coverage and speed compared to other carriers.
