Palm Treo 700w / 700wx

hi, I am trying to use my dad's old phone as my phone. When I started this idea, I naively thought that I would be able to change out the sim card and be on my way. Well i am here now hoping for any advice on where to go now. Is there a sim card somewhere in the phone? If not, how hard is it to change carriers, I switched to verizon and sprint literally have their name written on the phone.

I am going to sell my 700W and upgrade. I need to delete my phone number from the phone, but it will not delete. I did a hard reset and set it back to factory settings but the number is still displayed under settings / phone. please help!

I am trying to sync My treo 700w with win vista. I have the latest mobile device center 6.1 and it says not connected. The Palm shows it is connected. There is one thing the version on the palm is from 2006 any help would be appreciated

Is there a way to save pictures that I took onto the memory card?

Palm sent us a demo unit 700W, I used it for a few days and could not get active sync to work over bluetooth with my laptop for the life of me. I then gave the unit to our CEO to try out and on his machine active sync over bluetooth didn't work either - is this yet another feature verizon disabled?

Does anyone else have issues getting the phone to charge?

I have no idea why they designed the charger the way they did, but it really sucks. It doesn't lock in and at least mine has to be at the perfect angle when it's plugged in to insure a connection. I usually have to put a weight on the part that plugs into the phone in order for it to be sitting properly.

The problem is even when the red charging light is on and the screen says charging it still won't charge. For example if I'm down to 5% it will show that it's charging, but never increase over 5%.

Arghhh. So annoying.

Is it just the cord that's bad or is there another solution? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I currently have an enV (9900) and am trying to decide between this and the SCH-I760. How is the keyboard on the 700wx? Specifically, is it cramped, does it have good tactile feedback and is it prone to typos?

Any help you guys can provide is appreciated.

Hey guys, I have a Treo 700W (for verizon) that I was using for a few month that I now need to get rid of. I have since then purchased the Voyager and just have the Treo sitting around. I just purchased a new housing case, antenna & buttons for the phone because I was going to sell it to someone but the deal fell thru. The phone works perfect and am asking $150 for it, if anyone is interested.

OK, I am really tired of trying to get Sprint to admit that my home area is just not covered good enough. I have the Palm Treo 700wx and I mostly have one bar and sometimes none. I drop lots of calls and so does my wife. She has a RAZR. When one of us travels to another city, it's worse. My contract with Sprint is up in November. Sprint's answer is I need to purchase two new phones and sign a new contract. What a load of crap! I purchased a cheap AT&T phone to see if the reception was any better and it is! How can I get Sprint to let me go 3 months early without paying anything? I want to walk away, but they keep giving me such lousy customer service that I just feel like being their worst nightmare customer now. I really don't wa...

Does the WX have stereo bluetooth?

does anyone use something else besides outlook to manage contacts, notes, calendar etc?

First off, I upgraded to the 700w after using a Blackberry 7130e for several weeks. I loved the simplicity of the Blackberry, and I particularly loved the push email. I have used the Wireless Sync software to configure my IMAP/POP email account to my 700w (my email client does not utilize an exchange server). However, so far, unlike my Blackberry, it takes upwards of 45 minutes to have my email pushed to my account. Often times, I have to initiate this process by manually syncing the device. I contacted Verizon and they said that this is a known problem that they are working to fix. Does anyone have any further information or suggestions as to how I can fix this problem? I'd like to receive my email in as close to real-time as possibl...

Anyone know how to stop the SMS preview when a new txt comes in. also anyone know how to stop the message sent message? I can not get the reg edit "SMSNoSentMS" to work.

Anyone know of any sites that have themes for the Treo 700w? I had all sorts of themes for my Samsung i730, but having a different size screen really makes it difficult to find themes other than the default few that come on the device.

Can someone point me to a website that has themes or an application that will let me create themes for the 240 x 240 screen size?

what are the wifi capabilities on this device?

The bottom of the home screen says Messaging (left) and Menu (right) is there anyway to change those options? Id like to get messaging on the right and recent calls on the right.

Also, is it possible to get the green phone button on the left to go directly to the dial pad?
