HAS THIS HAPPEN 2 U?
Has anyone had the phone lock up after it was sitting? When phone goes idle for couple mins, the screen turns off - only way to "wake" it up is to hit one of 2 buttons (setting I prefer) so I went to use phone and no button would wake it up...the little amber light was blinking (as it alsways does) but could not get into phone.....I called my phone from land line.....the handset didnt ring......"light blinks - screens off - no one's home".......so I had to remove battery....this happen twice in 3 days......

I just have wireless Sync and that is the only program that is running on the program list.

The voice feature will not work while syncing so if you have auto sync set for every 15 minutes your phone will not work for normal calls while syncing and calls will go to voice mail. If the phone is running to many applications it can hang as well. Keep an eye out for the latest updates because they address a lot of these issues. I've updated my 650 twice so far and it gets better every time, just like me. 🤣

HAS ANYONE HEARD OF VERIZON COMING OUT WITH A TREO WITH VOICE DIEALING. IT SEEMS KIND OF SILLY THAT YOU HAVE ALL OF THIS FUNTIONS AND NO VOICE DIAL. I JUST WAS WONDERING IF I AM WASTING MY TIME WAITING FOR ONE OR DO I NEED TO GO TO A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT FORM FUNTION TO GET THE VOICE DIALING.

um, on the Treo 700W if you go to "Settings" and scroll to the bottom of the Personal tab you will see the "Voice Command" button. Click it and activate Microsoft Voice Command, the HIGHEST rated voice command software for Pocket PC! It comes BUILT-IN to the 700W !
It allows for the voice dialing you are wanting and much more.

There's a forum over on howardforums.com under the Verizon Wireless -> PDA area that talks about this problem. It also links out to another forum focused around the Dell AXIM that provides a work around for the issue.
If I recall it has to do with the active synch application trying to synch to your PC every 5-10 minutes through the USB connection and hanging when it doesn't find it.

The same was happening to me. Luckily someone on this forum clued me and i have not had problem since. Hold down 'Ok' key to bring up runnning programs. Close out your programs to free up your decives resources by stopping them. (I usually hit the STOP ALL button). I do this at least once a day. Sometimes a few times a day if I think I have too many programs running in the background. I guess when you close a program like Calendar or Contacts it really is not closed until you "STOP" them where I mentioned above. At first I was a little upset that I had to do this at all but it beats having to soft reset and love the phone otherwise. So I put up with it.

This 'server trick' was discovered by another Aximsite forum member known as Invid a little while ago. This information is courtesy of him originally, and copied many times throughout the Aximsite forum, but I am re-writing in easy to follow laymans terms to hopefully make this a sticky, and stop the multiple posting regarding the same old problems. Here we go!
1. Turn on your Axim
2. Go to Start > Programs > Activesync. This will open the Activesync program.
3. Tap Menu at the bottom right hand corner of the screen. This will bring up the Options Menu. Notice the option Schedule... is greyed out? This is the all-critical option we need to get access to. But as it's disabled we can't change Activesync's defau...

NO THIS HAS NOT HAPPEN TO ME!! If there was a Caps Lock button on the treo, I'd suggest that you turn it off, but in this case it was probably just that you had too many tasks running (porn)
