Palm Treo 700w / 700wx
Help !700 freezes too often!!!
Can someone tell me why the Treo 700w is acting up. I have to do a soft reset at least 3 times a day on my phone. So far this is my 3rd replacement and still have the same problem. I even did the 1.10 update, but it is not helping. All that VZW says is that I just have to keep reseting it. BTW this is my first Treo so I am not sure if this is their normal operation ways.

Sorry to say, get use to the freeze ups... If you are running any software... This will happen... The phone (can't call it a PDA because of this), but, the phone is extrememly short on usable memory... Even though you may have a 2 gig memory card, the usable memory is less than 12 meg on a fresh start... Fire up Intern...

just a hint u need to shut down running programs just ok button does not end the program u need to into stop all running programs. one way is press ok for few second until u see the window that show all the running programs and shut it down.

VZW didn't blow it up... did they? I thought it was a design flaw from Palm, or something to that effect.

I was actually fortuitous enough for VZW to bless me with my *sixth* 700W replacement. But it's OK-- I'm dumping this sucker on Ebay (without putting any usage minutes on it) and have had 4 happy days with my new Treo 700p!
Methinks we should rally up a class-action lawsuit somehow. There's too many stories of us getting burned purty badly by VZW or Palm or some convoluted legal collaboration between them.
Before the 700W, I owned a 600. It had its quirks (but nowhere *nearly* as bad as the 700W), and the later builds of the successor, 650, seemed more robust and predictable. These Treo's, before the 700W, ran Palm OS.
The 700W is like this because it's some Satanic lethal combination of a Windows OS + starvingly inadequate hard...
