Nokia E62 / E61

since it has WCDMA 2100?

I want the E61 over the E62 because it has WiFi so if I'm in an office with no EDGE coverage I can still go online.


Also, to those of you who bought the E61 unlocked: Where did you get it? eBay?

I can see the start/end, location, etc. What I can't seem to view is any test put in the "description" portion of a meeting notice. I know it exist because I have seen it but I don't know how to navigate to that on the phone. Also, if it means anything, I'm a Notes user. Any thoughts?

How can I delete folders from messaging. I.E. to get rid of old e mail folders?

Can the E61 display on a computer screen i.e. web pages?

i just got a nokia e62 from cingular.
i have turned the volume from the sid buttons all the way up.
but i still berrly can hear it. specially when i am in the car.
i want to know, if they all like that and is there any internal setting to turn the volume up.

I am having problem with nokia pc suite. There does not seem to be an option to sync email with Outlook. (Notes,Calendar work without a problem).

Is there a way to do this with E62 ? I am not looking for anything fancy, just to sync my email over USB/Blue like I would with a standard PDA.

i have cingular service with the 62.... has anyone had a problems with contacts not coming up on incoming calls? or texts for that matter. ive tried cingular support, useless. ive tried nokia, thier idea didnt work with deleting the contact and putting it back in. symbian has no support. the strange thing is that some contacts will come up and some wont.
Anyone? thaks for any suggestions 🙂

is there any to adjust the ringer volume without going to profiles? the side volume keys don't seem to do jack. Thanks

No wifi but the same as the e61

Cingular will launch their version the E62 middle to end of this month. Didn't get the details of the E62 vs. E61.

Anyone notice that the e62 screen has a dark spot in it.

It is most noticeable if you go into the address book. The last o and the k are not very visible. Seems like a software problem more than the screen.

I have had this problem on 2 e62's.

Has anyone had success in removing the faceplate from the E-62? Thanks.

Can we record and set our own ringtones with the E62?

I can't, for the life of me, figure out how to change the ring tone for different callers. Can anyone clue me in?

Is there supposed to be a manual with this phone? If so, I didn't get it!

i was wondering if anyone could figure out a way to get the email indicator light to be switched for different things. I honestly think that it would be much better as just a service light or maybe for text messages, or missed calls. has anyone ever heard of anything like that? i think it would make it more useful.

I shall appreciate your pertinent comments concerning the Nokia E61 internet access. I am in the final stages of ordering unlocked E61, however, was advised by my Cingular business rep that even with unlocked version I wouldn't be able to access the internet on E61, since Cingular system would recognize IMEI # along with make and model of the phone and would block any internet traffic. Can you please advise whether it is true, as it is very important for me to access the internet on the device.

can you use any song from your personal cd collection or do you have to purchase them from cingular. I have a phone that i can use any song that i want to download from cds as ringtones, does this phone have that feature?

Dear smart person... HELP!

Nokia e61 with Blackberry connect software.
T-mobile service.

I can get on the internet, but email doesn't work.
When I go to compose an email from the Blackberry application there is no provision to "Send" the email..

Its like it has never even heard of email.

Ideas?

I've owned the E-62 for almost 30 days and I just love most everything about it!

Anyway, I uploaded and installed the new firmware last weekend without incident. The PC Sync software made the re-installation of data and MS OUTLOOK info seamless! So pleased.

But I noticed something quirky today that didn't occur prior to the update.

I dialed a new number (one not in the address book) and successfully made the call. After the call was completed, I wanted to save the number in the address book. Following the procedure of the E-62 (and many other NOKIA'S), I pressed the call button to review the past calls placed, located the new number to be saved and then pres...

Bought an e61 from a guy who received his from 3 here in the UK.
My account is with virginmobile
all functionality is ok, except email which I'm having trouble setting up
I went through the online nokia setup tool, received the text + added pin, but can't get it to work

(a couple of months ago, I wasted a lot of time trying to update the phone's firmware, to eventually find out that as it had been configured by 3, only 3, with whom I don't have an account, could upgrade it. Needless to say when I rang 3 about it they had no idea about firmware.)

any ideas

There is a new firmware for E61 using NUI. I upgraded the phone, but noticed a problem. The speed of my web browsing went down to 56K. It used to be 120-150K as meassured by CNET speed test. I tried reloading the firmware, hard resetting - all to no avail.

Any similar experiences?
